IMHO, the scale has a few problems, in particular:

* the rating names are too diverse, and not sufficiently descriptive.
* the upper levels are too general: TheGrimReaper (in the Western sense) is a \'\'concept\'\', Dr. Manhattan is a superpowered nerd, Galactus is just very large.

I don\'t suggest throwing out the current scale, however. I am considering a proposal, but for now I just wanted to establish a baseline for discussion.

* it doesn\'t make sense for redshirt to be lower than muggle. The typical redshirt \'\'is\'\' a competent fighter, just one who is faced with a superior adversary.

Edit:

Strike this one: \\\"it doesn\\\'t make sense for redshirt to be lower than muggle.\\\" I think I misread this. If Shirt Level means that \\\"these characters aren\\\'t good for much besides redshirt duty\\\" rather than \\\"redshirts are always weaker than everyone else\\\" then I don\\\'t have any problems with it.

Status of my proposal: I think a modified MMA list of levels (-1: Flyweight, 0: Featherweight, 1: Lightweight, 2: Welterweight, 3: Middleweight, 4: Light Heavyweight, 5: Heavyweight) would read better. For the other problem I haven\\\'t been able to find a solution.

Also, if no one else thinks there is a problem, I\\\'m certainly not going to try to solve it.
