!Relationships within the Pantheon
!!The familial and romantic (and sometimes both) relationships in the pantheon:

* The Guardian of Eternity and The Goddess Mother are husband and wife. They have two children:
** The Lord of Seduction, the older brother.
** The Divine Maiden, the younger sister by a few years.
* The Queen of Hell is The Guardian of Eternity\'s off-and-on mistress. They have one child:
** The Keeper of the Chronicle, who is older than The Lord of Seduction by a couple years.
** The Lady of Betrayal is The Keeper of the Chronicle\'s younger twin sister. How does that work? [[spoiler:It\'s the result of a Split Personality Merge. Bear with me here: Allarine was the half-succubus daughter of Phenwyr and Jaelen. Her first attempt at sex ended disasterously, and the boy died. Allarine went into a Heroic BSOD and rejected her succubus half, which became a girl called Rin. Kameril, meanwhile, was born with the soul of what would become Reien in addition to his own, which granted him additional power but was slowly killing him. Years later, Kameril stumbled across Rin, started a relationship with her, and managed to convince her and Allarine to merge back together. Rather than this merger being a Fusion Dance, though, the Applied Phlebotinum also allowed Kameril to transfer Reien into Rin\'s old body.]] End result, The Keeper of the Chronicle and The Lady of Betrayal are identical twins who happen to be about a dozen years apart in age.
* The Muse is The Goddess Mother\'s younger sister. She\'s married to The Absolute Scale. They have no children[[spoiler: -- still living, that is; however, their descendants are currently the royal family of Sindane and the heads of all of Sindane\'s most powerful merchant houses]].
* The Dragon That Roils the Heavens and The Dragon That Sows the Earth are mates. They have no children (of their own, but The Earth-Sowing Dragon \'\'is\'\' the goddess of fertility).
** They\'re together, but have no other connection with the rest of the pantheon, so, like The Architect and The Steel Falcon, they don\'t really fit in, right? [[spoiler:Asayer created Reien. Asayer was a creation goddess who effectively gave birth to Reien\'s people, and Reien was one of her early favorites. Reien made a Deal With The Devil to get her revenge, and eventually caused the Shattering of the World. In the end, Asayer was \\\"forced\\\" to abandon her people because of the resulting problems that Reien instigated -- she joined the pantheon as penance for her failure. Reien\\\'s aforementioned deal, meanwhile, wound up with her being reborn as/within Kameril, leading to her and Allarine becoming twin sisters.]] So, The Earth-Sowing Dragon and The Lady of Betrayal have an extremely rocky mother-daughter relationship.
* The Lord of Seduction and The Lady of Betrayal are husband and wife. They have one child:
** The Doll Princess, who serves as their proxy.
* The Keeper of the Chronicle is the Lord of Seduction\\\'s mistress. They also have one child:
** [The Keeper of the Chronicle\\\'s proxy-daughter], whom The Lord of Seduction doesn\\\'t publicly acknowledge and who serves as The Keeper of the Chronicle\\\'s proxy. She is the same age as The Doll Princess.
*** The terminology headache that the two girls must go through is the best example of the Tangled Family Tree: for each of them, her mother is her aunt, her father is her uncle, and her aunt (that isn\\\'t The Divine Maiden) is biologically identical to her mother, so is the other girl her cousin, her half-sister, or her full sister?
** The Keeper of the Chronicle and [her daughter] have a somewhat more intimate relationship beyond the god-and-proxy one. It\\\'s slightly abusive on both sides: The Keeper of the Chronicle overworks and teases her daugher to make her cry (because she thinks it\\\'s cute), [her daughter] yells at her mother and hits her with large tomes, but the tension between them makes the release all the more satisfying. At the end of the day, they actually have a loving relationship, even if not immediately apparent.
* The Lord of Seduction is at the center of two love triangles, which are both also sibling triangles and type 8\\\'s:
** With The Lady of Betrayal and The Doll Princess. The Doll Princess is \\\"programmed\\\" to love her parents unconditionally and willingly obeys any order/invitation to \\\"love\\\" them. The Lord of Seduction and The Lady of Betrayal are content in their marriage, but The Lord of Seduction, for obvious reasons, has trouble committing to one partner for an extended period of time. The Lady of Betrayal can\\\'t stand any thought of another woman being with him, for fear that she\\\'d try to steal him away. Neither of them, however, have a taboo against Parental Incest. So, The Lord of Seduction gets to have sex with a girl that isn\\\'t The Lady of Betrayal, and The Lady of Betrayal isn\\\'t threatened by her husband\\\'s choice of a sex partner (and is somewhat of a sadist, so she gets off on dominating The Doll Princess).
** With The Lady of Betrayal and The Keeper of the Chronicle. [[spoiler:Thanks to the previously mentioned Split Personality Merge, we have Allarine with Rin\\\'s memories of her relationship with Kameril (in addition to her own childhood crush on him) and Reien with her/Kameril\\\'s memories of that relationship and knowing that the body that relationship involved is now hers.]] For The Keeper of the Chronicle, it became a case of Unlucky Childhood Friend, as she lost The Lord of Seduction to her (later) twin. The sisters genuinely love each other, but The Keeper of the Chronicle (perhaps subconsciously holding a grudge) isn\\\'t particularly considerate of The Lady of Betrayal\\\'s feelings, inadvertently abusing her paranoia by \\\'\\\'having sex with her husband right in front of her\\\'\\\'. The Lady of Betrayal, in turn, is both attracted to The Keeper of the Chronicle and driven to compete with her for The Lord of Seduction\\\'s affections. The Lord of Seduction, as mentioned above, is just happy to be having sex with someone who isn\\\'t his wife.
* The Lord of Seduction lusts after The Divine Maiden and The Goddess Mother. Neither reciprocate his feelings. For The Goddess Mother, it\\\'s a case of Selective Obliviousness. The Divine Maiden, however, has been unable to ignore it, which has only inflamed the war between the Divine Light and the Fallen Lovers.
** The Lord of Seduction also formerly had a relationship with The Queen of Hell. However, after The Lady of Betrayal was \\\"born\\\", The Queen of Hell ended it, on the grounds that he was always meant to be with her daughter(s) and she had only intended to break him in for her/them. The Lord of Seduction wasn\\\'t particularly bothered about this, since their relationship had meant that he had been sleeping with the same woman his father had, which bothered him a lot more.
* Neither The Architect nor The Steel Falcon are related to the rest of the Family Business. The Architect has the slight connection of having been an old acquaintance and colleague of many of the other gods, but literally the only tie The Steel Falcon has to the rest of the gods is that The Lady of Betrayal hand-picked her, and the two had never interacted before that point.
