\\\"international laws prohibiting cartoons from featuring talking pigs out of concerns of offending Malaysian audiences\\\"

This seems ... surprising, since as far as I know the makers of \\\'\\\'WesternAnimation/PeppaPig\\\'\\\' have not been sent to the Hague. I\\\'ve done some research, and all I can find is a mention on the [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S._Acres wikipedia page]] (with a Citation Needed tag), [[https://thenutgraph.com/pig-headed-perspective/ this article]] speculating that the same reasoning that banned \\\'\\\'Film/{{Babe}}\\\'\\\' in Malaysia is why \\\'\\\'WesternAnimation/GarfieldAndFriends\\\'\\\' wasn\\\'t shown past season 2 (while specifying it\\\'s just speculation) and [[https://censorship.fandom.com/wiki/Malaysia#Television_censorship this article]] confirming that multiple shows about FunnyAnimal pigs have been banned or censored in Malaysia. But nothing in either of them about \\\"international law\\\" banning anyone worldwide from featuring pigs \\\'\\\'at all\\\'\\\' to avoid offending Malaysians.

Now, if the \\\'\\\'distributors\\\'\\\' said they couldn\\\'t use pigs because they were hoping to sell the series in Malaysia, that would make sense.
