Come to think of it, what\\\'s \\\"alt-left\\\"? I know \\\"alt-right\\\" is a way of saying \\\"not covered in the usual Republican/Tory continuum and possibly even more further to the Right than even the Republicans (USA) or Tories (Britain) feel comfortable with\\\". (And that\\\'s got to be a Hell of a way out on the Right).
But... there\\\'s American Liberal Left (ie, not very Left at all but further Left than the Republicans, if only by default). There\\\'s European Social Democratic Left - ie, conservative-left, but who sometimes get to form governments and are quite a bit further Left than the American Democrats. Move out a bit further and there\\\'s Radical Democratic Left - ie, what the British Labour Party briefly was under Jeremy Corbyn and before Starmer.
And then you get the Revolutionary Left: the official Communist Party, then the various schools of Stalinist, Maoist, Trotskyist, thought (miniscule in terms of numbers: the Socialist Workers might just fill a phone box with members). And way on the fringe, the British branch of the North Korean Workers\\\' Party, who believe the world would be improved if Kim Jong il was in charge. (Yes. We do have people who think like that despite free access to actual facts...)
Maybe that\\\'s the Alt-Left, American and British people who love the Great Leader, Kim Jong-Il!
