\\\"Who do you believe more, me or your own eyes?\\\"

You take everything in the book at face value, as one and only truth, except for really \\\"over the top\\\" bad parts that even you can\\\'t defend. For those parts, it was satire. \\\"Lind was just joking, \\\'pushing the envelope\\\' as it were, he doesn\\\'t really believe that. Nobody is crazy enough to believe that. Right? Right?!\\\"

Well, as history has taught us, there are people crazy enough to believe that and you should trust them when they say they believe that and that they will do the things they promise they will do.

\\\"Storming the Washington D.C? That\\\'s crazy talk!\\\" Some did.

\\\"Nobody really believes that there is a pedophile ring in the basement of a pizza place!\\\" Some do and at least one guy came to that pizza place with a gun and an idea to liberate children from the basement.

Besides, it is irrelevant if Lind truly, in his heart of hearts, believes everything he had written, every word of it. He had written it in the first place. In the world of his imagination, the utopia he makes is segregated, fascist state. The fact that he glosses over the atrocities that brought it into being doesn\\\'t change the fact that it is what he chose to write and wax lyrically about.
