I removed the example for ContinuitySnarl because it didn\'t really seem like a real example. The lore of the series explained why the Elder Dragons destroyed the old civilization, and why certain ones (the Fatalis trio) hate all humans. However, it\'s doubtful more of the ones alive are old enough to have lived that long ago and some of the ones in \'\'World\'\' will still attack even if unprovoked. Nergigante in particular. The more recent updates have also shown that a few of them aren\'t even there to die. [[spoiler:Lunastra and Teostra are there to \'\'mate\'\'.]]

It doesn\\\'t contradict existing lore and doesn\\\'t mess with continuity, which the games themselves don\\\'t really have much of anyway.

Well before I was ever a Troper, indeed likely before TVTropes even existed, my friends and I used to make references to a swashbuckling archaeologist whenever we wanted to describe not only Indiana Jones and every expy of Indiana Jones ever, or when the situation explicitly called for a NoCelebritiesWereHarmed version of Indiana Jones.

I think an alternate name for this trope could be SwashbucklingArchaeologist.
