I\\\'m going to change the word \\\"statistic\\\" from the definition. That\\\'s not so much a change of definition (which would of course need a TRS discussion), because this was never about statistics. The examples aren\\\'t about statistics, and even the original \\\"20% cooler\\\" example wasn\\\'t. (The examples aren\\\'t all percentages, not even the examples in the definition itself, and not every percentage is a statistic.)

Unless I\\\'m wrong about how broadly \\\"statistic\\\" is defined, which I doubt, but in that case, what I\\\'m doing will not change the meaning and will only make it clearer.
