What I would like to know, and anyone who can help me please don\'t be shy, is why the location of this lovely old childrens\' story book was moved from China to Japan? It\'s beyond me. I own an original 1930 edition and it contains the most beautiful drawings but shock horror, the later editions are (to put it plainly) are awful.

Also he was not helping Daisy, if he was he would abide by what she wants . Not what he thinks she wants. He would also not put her team in danger to give her something she did not ask for or ask him for. That is not a noble goal, that is taking an unwanted action because you think thats what they want.
Also when it comes down he does not match the criteria.
Heroic goals, questinable. When his actions are more for his benefit ( getting on his crushes goodside) then noble.
End desires mostly good? Help Kara is good, but superficially by giving her vengeance and not really helping is not good. Same with Daisy giving her what he thinks she needs but not wants. Risking the lives of people she loves.
Also desired ends are evil but use benign methods?
Even that does not apply to Ward, as in Kara case the methods are torture , attempted murder and brutality.
So either case he does not match the term for Anti Villian.
Also when it comes down he does not match the criteria.

Also his escalation of actions, or regret DOES NOT define an Anti Villain. Heroic Goals, not shown. Personality traits ( betrays, tortures and instead of helping a broken agent breaks her further) not shown. Desired ends mostly good , definitely not shown. Regret and level of murder and torture is not part of the definition.

Also he is not helping Daisy but helping his relationship with her . A selfish act in itself. Daisy is part of a team. Daisy cares for the team. But Ward risked the team safety to give her what he thinks she wants NOT what she needs. Not a noble act but a selfish act ( getting Daisy to like him again) but an act to him is a noble one.
A noble act would to genuinely help the team. He has done neither. Nor helped Kara.
