I realize the teaser trailer was put together when the story was in a state of flux and marketing was doing the best they could with what they had. That doesn't change the fact that the first trailer was pretty lame, didn't provide any real clue on the story and didn't play to the strengths of the excellent character designs they did have. It also tended to show that their marketing didn't have a good idea how knowledgeable their audience was. For a Disney trailer to feel the need to define

For a Disney trailer to feel the need to define \"anthropomorphic\" would be like a \"The Force Awakens\" trailer needing to explain what a \"lightsaber\" is. Some things just come with the territory...

I remember when I first saw the trailer, because Nick and Judy were in a wide shot with no dialogue and Judy was wearing her clown vest covering most of her body, I really had no idea the bunny was supposed to be female. And nothing really excuses the \"be-fur\" pun, it\'s just bad on so many levels ;-)

I knew nothing of Zootopia prior to that trailer and ultimately I came away feeling it was going to be a cute but lame G-rated \"48 Hours\" with funny animals. How wrong I was.
