I still think my original entry does a better job explaining what is actually wrong with Mercy's toolkit and why she can't compete with the other healers. The proposed new one focuses too much on other character changes.

Obviously indirect nerfs are a thing, but I don't think it's the core issue with the character. There is just not anything that she does better than the others. She has low damage, low healing, low utility, and low survivability. Her rez was the only thing she had going for her, but with the longer charge time, it's not really any better than Lucio or Zenyatta's ults.
