I\'m afraid I must take issue with this (I\'d have brought it up in TLP before this launched, but I haven\'t been as active there lately and I missed this one).
Not only is the matter of non-trans actors being cast to portray transgender characters a BerserkButton for most of the community (especially when it\'s a CrosscastRole), but the argument that there aren\'t enough trans actors to do so is considered an extremely weak and offensive argument (indeed, one of the main complaints about such practises is that it takes a role away from trans actors and actresses who frequently have trouble finding work).
Not to mention, the use of AttractiveBentGender in this is kind of offensive as well.
