[[quoteblock]]*UnfortunateImplications: The message when Ash lost the Pokemon League first time was [[TheDeterminator \"Losing is not the end, you can always try again better next time\"]]. This would have been a great aesop, if it wasn\'t for the fact that this is being applied in a show where FailureIsTheOnlyOption no thanks to the writers of the show having the idea that [[InsaneTrollLogic if Ash wins even once, the show\'s over.]] Not surprisingly, after the [[spoiler:Kalos finals]] many fans start saying a certain quote: [[FamilyUnfriendlyAesop \"You will always fail no matter how hard you try.\"]] One commenter even stated this:

An UnfortunateImplications example needs a citation. At least link where the quote came from. Or at least have this entry moved under \"Family-Unfriendly Aesop\"/

Yeah. An AssholeVictim doesn\'t need to be a HateSink or TheScrappy. The author might have [[AffiblyEvil written them to be suave]], they might have traits that the audience latches onto, [[DracoInLeatherPants despite]] or even [[LoveToHate because of]] the author\'s intent for them to be despised. Or they might have no character at all because they\'re a PlotDevice to get the episode going.
