Either the mileage definitely may vary on this or it no longer applies. I have seen many fans complain that there is too much [[TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot wasted]] [[TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodCharacter potential]] that makes the show unappealing in hindsight, that [[ArcFatigue Synchro was too long]] and annoying for its unsympathetic characters, Xyz was too rushed (and then there is Kaito) and the whole thing about Ruri and Rin being brainwashed is a BrokenBase over whether they are cool villains, {{Flat Character}}s that are suddenly evil or just plain tired of the over-reliance of YuGiOh with the BrainwashAndCrazy trope.
