openA Few Edutainment Games Videogame
There are a few edutainment games that I vaguely recall but can't remember the name of at all — hoping you all could help!
The first is one of those "learn-to-type" games. The main feature I remember of this game is that there was a character for each letter, and you would unlock them as you learned how to type each key. There was an evil one, I think, but I can't remember who it was. I remember the characters all being pretty quirky. I think your hands/fingers were characters too, or at least they had faces? One of the games I think had to do with you typing, and if you got a letter wrong the character would fall from a line or something. It's super fuzzy. I probably played it around 2003-ish.
Another game I remember is one where you could send postcards to kids from different parts of the world. That's literally the only thing I remember about this game. I don't even think you could do anything else. You'd send a postcard and you'd get a postcard back.
The last one is a game about talking cars. I thought it was a Tonka game, but I looked at the list of Tonka computer games on Wikipedia and it didn't come up, so I don't know which company it was from. It featured a kid car (I think he was red and wore a hat?) and an evil green truck, or something like that. The kid was trying to save something or other from the evil truck. Along the way, he had to go to like a nightclub for cars and talk to a pretty singer car, design a monster truck, and shoot ghosts in a house. I remember the game vaguely terrifying me as a child. The game ended with a "th-th-th-th-th-that's all, folks!" joke, I think. Really weird.
And yeah, that's about it! I'm sorry if those are vague, it's been over ten years since I played any of them and it's all super fuzzy. Hope someone can help! I can also answer any questions if necessary.
Edited by Numbuh9494openNo Title Live Action TV
This is kind of an obscure request, but it's a Vietnamese cooking show that's currently on TV right now. There's a girl (around the 20-25 age range) with a low voice and short, bleached hair (very reminiscent of Amber from f(x)), a guy around the same age as her, and an older (mid-30s?) man who is a bit larger. They cook fairly simple Vietnamese foods and also go to restaurants and review food and play cooking games with each other and such. I thought it was a pretty cute show when I was in Vietnam and would like to watch it again, though no amount of Googling could help me find it. If anyone has seen it and knows the name, please let me know!
openMusic from an Animal Planet ad. Music
Hello, I am looking for some music track from the trailer of "Top Deadliest snakes" running on Animal Planet. It sounds to be some old rock song and from what I can discern from the lyrics it seems to have the lines "And I watched her slipping away", but I've so far had no luck in finding the song.
Edit: I found it on my own after all, it was a song called "Hunting High And Low" by a-ha.

Would anyone know this show that was aired on treehouse tv probably in between 1997-2001, it had something to do with puppets being inside of a house. All you would really see when being inside the house was a living room and father along were stairs going up. The puppets looked similar to fraggle rock puppets but the show wasn't fraggle rock. There wasn't just one puppet either, there was quite a few of them.
Edited by HissingHedgehogopenMelting Man in Body Horror Scene in 80s-ish Horror Movie Film
Since childhood I've been trying to discover the identity of a movie I caught on TV. Several young adults or teens were exploring a house/building, one young man ended up alone in the center of a room that promptly shut him in and began heating up. The walls glow, the soles of his shoes start to stick to the floor. In his last moments he twists in agony and his head turns around to an unnatural degree (literally) as though his neck is affected by the heat the way that his shoes are. Dying to know what the heck this movie was.
openAFV / Funniest Pets clone with hot raspy-voice Host who broke 4th wall with Camera Crew Live Action TV
This was a qausi-clone of America's Funniest Home Video or Funniest Pets & People, but more low-key. I am pretty sure it only featured funny/cute videos of dogs, but maybe was other animals and even people too. It was hosted by an attractive female with a deep voice (i.e. smoker), and I though at First Dasiy Fuentes or Jennifer Esposito, but I looked at their IMDB catalogue and it's not in them. 2 things I remember about this show: 1: The host was a fan of non-purebreds and espoused mutts and thought pure-bred and their owners were stuck up and cruel for not buying euthanized mutts. 2: She talked to the crew (camera operators, producers, gaffers, etc.) and would joke with them and try to make them laugh. It is the only show with a host other than early Letterman where the fourth wall was broken in this way.
Edited by lefton4yaopenOld film where a woman showers while wearing a men's shirt Film
I watched a documentary several years ago about some actress. I believe she was dark-haired, and she was very pretty. Part of the documentary mentioned that for a certain movie, the director wanted her to do a nude scene, but she refused, so for the movie she ended up in a scene taking a shower in an outdoor shower wearing a large, wet, and very thin men's shirt that clung to her body so tightly that she might as well have been nude. A group of soldiers in some sort of vehicle passes her, very pleased with the sight, and one of the men jumps out and beckons to her with both hands, arms spread, a "come here baby!" gesture. I think he looked kind of Hispanic, definitely not white. She kind of teases him a little bit, and I'm pretty sure she then pulls out a gun (from where, I do not know) and shoots him. The showering seemed like kind of a trap to lure men to her, I think. The movie was older, like Wizard of Oz-era. I think it was in color, but I am not positive. Does anyone know this movie?
openPBS Kids Show Live Action TV
So I only saw this once when I was channel flipping in like...2004. It was on PBS, that much I know, and it featured these three coloured cricket-like characters, each one a different colour, two boys and a girl. I think the girl was yellow. All the characters were either people in suits or puppets, but the only other thing that really stood out for me was that there was this puppet vaccum cleaner that I guess was like their babysitter.
openLate 80's early 90's kids show Live Action TV
Looking for a live action drama series shown on UK televison during the late 80's or early 90's. The theme song I can whistle even now but have no recollection of the name: Live Action, with a family living in a wagon most likely pre 1900, some episodes had them traveling (the back of the wagon pulling away was the closing titles). I think it may have been Australian, or possibly Californian Gold Rush. Very dusty and dirty. Full family, father looking for work, mother and at least 2 if not 3 kids. Any suggestions will help, as once I can listen to a theme tune I will be able to filter it immediately.
openwhite jacketed character
This isn't about a work so much as a character. He has a white jacket (not like a blazer, just a normal jacket) and a red neck tie thing (not an actual necktie but like that thing that boy scouts wear). I saw someone dressed like this on Halloween and it's really bugging me because I recognize it but i don't know from where
openname of this show
Hi, i've been looking for this show for years, i watched it when i was a kid.I don't remember the name, but i remember that the main character was a blonde girl with a very long hair who arrives at a world of talking animals (it wasn't animated, the animal caracteres were people in costumes). I also remember that there was a witch with an assistant (the assistant was an animal too), they were evil and made potions, and the main character and her animal friends always had to stop them. I also remember that when the characters got in troubles they went to a fountain (or a waterfall, i don't remember well) that given them advices...if someone could help me more information about this show, i will be very grateful...
openMiddle/High school
It's a tv show, about a bunch of girls (4-5 I think), it's british comedy, they go to middle or high school, it's not some girls.
openMussorgsky music in a game Videogame
I'm looking for a game that contains in its soundtrack "The Great Gate of Kiev" of Russian composer Mussorgsky. I used to play it in my childhood in the beginning of the 2000's. I would have said at first Sim City but there's no music sounding like it in the 4 games.
openApple IIe Video Game
It was like Joust, but it had an ending, where you got some kind of gem thingie in a volcano. The graphics were a LOT like Conan: Hall of Volta. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conan:_Hall_of_Volta
openA sitcom starring the Looney Tunes Live Action TV
I'm not kidding on this one. It was a live-action sitcom (I think it was French or Canadian) which mixed Live Action with 2D animation, and was about a family that co-lived with the Looney Tunes (or just with Bugs and Daffy, I don't remember). I remember that the animation was quite stiff and that the Looney Tunes were kind of filler and didn't really add anything to the plot. I think it was called "Alive and Animated", but I try to search for it and nothing happens.
openCactus Villain
Ok this is just a weird image that has been bothering me but I cannot for the life of me figure out where it's from. All I remember is some really big, heavy spiky "arms" that would smack down and try to smash the good guy. I don't know if it was a boss in a video game or an animated movie villain? Kind of Petey Piranha-esque? If it was from a game, it would be some early game cube game. Like Sonic Adventure 2 or a Zelda game of some kind. They were just huge spiny arms, kind of brownish in color with like a lot of really sharp skinny spikes on them and they would either smash down or kind of spin around and try to kill you?? It might have been part of like a tree?? This sounds ridiculous but this fuzzy image has been bothering me and I wanted to see if anyone could help.
Edited by cheddarfaceopenA Show and a movie from My Childhood
In the early nineties I watched this show(actually I think it might have been one of those in between programming shows like YTV`s The Zone) that starred a bunch of kids and a person in a big blue Mouse(I think?) costume. They often showed little shorts that were intended to teach children lessons. For example I recall one where a girl is about to pour herself a glass of what she assumes is juice when the mouse character appears and tells her she should ask her parents before drinking it it, since she doesn't know what it is.
Secondly there is an Animated movie that I only remember one scene from. A family is driving in their car when they suddenly crash into a ditch or something filled with toxic waste. This possibly kills them or leaves them comatose, I just remember a lingering shot of the family unconscious in their car, with the little girl clutching her teddy bear that freaked me right out.
Any help is appreciated!
openChrildren's cartoon that I barely remember Western Animation
Like I said, I can hardly remember it, so bear with me here. It came out in the early 2000s, and from what I remember, it was a 3d animated showabout some characters who lived in this tall, orange-ish building on an island, and the went out to rescue or help people on other islands. I can't quite figure out the title, I think it was something-nauts, or something-patrol, or nano-something. I remember one episode where a volcano was about to explode and they had to stop it from exploding. I BELIEVE one of the characters was dark purple with a lighter purple face and pink pigtails, but I may be wrong. As of now, that's all I can remember.
EDIT: I managed to figure it out on my own. It was the Save-Um's. I was way off with the title.

Hey, I'm looking for TV show, where there was a episode, that involved a group of people, who had had organ transplants from one person, all being drawn to a area in America, and then proceeding to bungie jump, while dressed as the Pips, while singing, Midnight Train to Georgia.
