^^ Yeah, this example sounds like Society Marches On, since it pertains to society (via the laws that govern it).

I was playing Modern Warfare 2 and noticed some background chatter in the first level.
Modern Warfare 2 is set in 2016 and was produced at a time when DADT was still around. However, the law was repealed in mid 2011 and is scheduled to be phased out this September, making the above dialogue anachronistic.
So what trope applies to the developers' beliefs that DADT would still be around in 2016? It could conceivably be a very mild form of Zeerust, but that doesn't really seem to fit.
