Period Piece is for the intentional version. Usually a period piece is for a decade other than the current one.

"Mister Sandman" Sequence, for when a Period Piece goes out of its way to reference events that took places during the time it is set, to establish the "feel" of the setting.
The book is set during 2018 and one chapter has a character walk through hometown New York City before spotting a graffiti mural of the recently-deceased Stan Lee. The character looked up at the sky and resumed his walk.
