I reckon it is a piece Charles Sydnor wrote for the show, just like most of the music that plays on Malcolm in the Middle. He has uploaded a lot of excerpts from the show on Soundcloud, but not that particular one. Maybe he could release the song online, if asked.

A lot of the incidental music that They Might Be Giants contributed had a brassy feel to it. Here is a page about two promo C Ds they released:

Most of the tracks are similar across the two, but I've only been able to obtain files for the first CD as they're pretty rare. None of them match this unfortunately, but it might help to scratch that itch.
I actually found out more about the second CD earlier; the few C Ds that people are known to have don't actually work.
