Significant changes like this generally require discussion. What is the justification for this move?

Definitely don't agree with this.

Not all stealth games are action games, some are an automatic loss when you're spotted. There's also a lot more to the survival genre than action, namely, everything that makes it "survival" would fit better under the "adventure" side of the label of "action-adventure".

It would also be nice if you linked to the thread that you're talking about (unless that's not what you mean).

Sorry if I moved them without permission, as I said I'm new to this forum but now I reverted it to its previous form.

Action games, as defined here, is about crossing physical challenges. In my own opinion, the stealth game embodies it the most. Yes, instead of direct confrontation, you go away from them. The challenge of going from point A to point B without getting seen and sniping people from atop of a vantage point. For me, that is what the action is.

In the survival game part, I'm sorry if I made the decision to move it without discussion. I hope you hear my say on the stealth game. Thanks

^ That's a very broad definition of action, though. By defining "action" as "physical challenges", basically every game would be an action game then.

The definition, "physical challenges" wasn't made up by me though. It was on the video game genre page. What would be your more defined meaning for action?

The most common definitions of action that I see are:

  • A strong emphasis on combat (gunfights, swordfights, fistfights, etc)
  • Navigating hazards (collapsing buildings, high-speed chases, explosions, etc)

You've made your point and I realized my mistake in moving them. Thanks for the discussion
