We can never truly eradicate the coronavirus, but we can suppress its threat like influenza
When a character is talking to another person, and they scatter some information that is not related to their conversation in the process because they know a certain third person is listening, and they may want to know this.
Patrol: "Have you seen anyone unusal passing by?"
Shopkeep: "Oh, nothing unusal, just some of my usual customers, and I just checked my back door, 'there is no one there, it should be pretty a safe way to escape' should anything happen, so I should be fine, thanks for your concern. Hmmm, but that also mean 'if someone were to sneak in and out of here unnoticed I might have just provided them a safe passage', I might lock it up later."
Patrol: "What are you rambling about?"
Shopkeep: "Oh, nothing, whoever needs to hear that will hear that."
