No clue which song you mean, but the word you are semi-remembering may be "daisuki" meaning to really like / love someone or something a lot.

This is probably too vague. I am pretty sure this was the theme to a romance anime from the 80s or 90s. I know the chorus is something like "suki sa" or "suki ya" or something. Neither of those seem like proper Japanese, however it's the most my brain can figure out. The singer is a man and it was a relatively slow ballad.
