Well, no foreboding PMs from the mods, so I'm pretty sure I can safely say no.

If you can log on as your normal username, I'd say it's not directed at you. Do you have a dynamic IP or something? You might have stumbled across a banned IP or something.

I have no idea what that is. All I know is that at my home, on my laptop, I was, for two hours, redirected to Google whenever I tried to get here, and after that, I could again.
This isn't the first incident, but at least they end.

That has happened to me on occasion as well.

Makes sense. I carry my laptop all over the place, I've got at least three locations from which I use it to check this site, and that's not counting the college computers themselves.
Although...
Why does it do that? Is it because they're worried about bounce evaders or some such things?

Bounce/ban can be applied at the handle or IP level, or other things that I won't publicly discuss. If you access the site through a pool of shared IPs, such as when you are using public WiFi, proxies, Internet cafes, school/library computer labs, etc., you risk tripping over a blacklisted IP. We can sometimes deal with these on a case-by-case basis if you can identify the affected IP.
