A possible tech solution would be to have an option to filter out certain types of edits. However that would require compulsory edit reasons too (although that would be a good idea, it would at least enable me to see if the change made in a paragraph block was a real alteration or just someone typo hunting without having to go through it line-by-line). It would also help head off a lot of disputes, mainly because many edit conflicts start in the first place with the absence of edit reasons.

The downside would be a change to wiki policy (there would be lots of objections, because people don't like change, especially the sort that makes them do something extra) and Eddie having to do some potentially tricky coding.

I'd love it to happen, but I don't see it in the cards though.
