That was the second series of Spellbinder.

thats it! Thank you! Now I feel like a moron because I came across Spellbinder while I was searching but I discounted it because in the first series the main character was a boy.
I'm trying to track down a tv show I saw a long time ago (probably in the 90's). I think it was filmed in australia or new zealand, but I'm not 100% sure.
The only episode I really remember went something along the lines of: Young girl stumbles across a town full of people who are immortal. However, the thing that made them immortal also made them sterile, so they haven't had children in a long time. They start fighting over who gets to take care of the girl, and then they decide to make her immortal too so that she will always be a child. And then she runs away. The people were done up in victorian style clothes.
Also, I think in a different episode she was being attacked by a robot (kinda like a dalek) that was shooting balls of energy, and she deflected them with a mirror.
Anyway, I think the show was like sliders, where the girl was trying to get home but ended up going to a bunch of alternate universes. Her brother might have been with her... And I think she was a young teenager, like 14 or 15.
Any ideas?
