openMovie with RogerRabbitEffect Live Action TV
there was a movie I watched part of years ago. The main character was a live action boy who was turned into a cartoon cat by an evil cartoon owl. Another thing I recall is a rooster that needed to learn to crow.
Edited by TheNerfGuyopenmovie where the ceiling falls through to reveal a woman in a bathtub Film
I only saw this one scene from a movie that my dad was watching once when I was a kid. It's from no later than the 2000's but possibly from the 80's or 90's. I think it starts with people fighting (making me think it's an action movie of some sort) and results in the floor/ceiling falling through to reveal a woman in a bathtub in the floor below. I think the scene had a yellowish tint when it looked down at the woman, and I don't think there was a closeup, only a shot from above at her. The floor might've fallen through a couple of floors (but I could be mixing that idea with the Italian job when they blast a hole in the floor to steal a safe). Anyone know what I'm talking about? It stuck with me because I knew I wasn't supposed to be watching it.
openA Marvel comic set in space in the late 90s or early 2000s Print Comic
I only read one issue, but it featured the crew of a crashed ship on a distant planet. They were being hunted by an alien race with projectile weapons built into their biology, even calling them bio-weapons. The main human characters all wore armor, and of different colors.
openPossibly Direct-to-VHS Live Action Children's Film Film
This is a film, probably not a very long one, that I used to rent from my local video store all the time as a child. As I was born in '96, it was probably about that old, though perhaps older because I vaguely remember my older sister also being a fan, and she was born in '91. The only thing I specifically remember was a group singing "Make good friends, new and old. One is silver and the other gold." The group being made up of puppets, presumably all inanimate objects of some sort. I think I remember flowers at some point, though that may have been from a different song. The film mainly followed some people, probably some young kids, going around to a few locations where they'd meet up with these singing groups. I'm fairly certain they got around by a train, which probably also talked/sang along.
It absolutely was on VHS, as that was all we had at home at the time. I don't remember it ever popping up on television, or ever seeing any reference to it anywhere else, so it was probably pretty obscure. I don't particularly expect anyone to ever find this, and I know I won't ever find it on my own, but I may as well throw my query out there just to see what bites.
openGiant Marrow
Hi guys. Got this to show in my head I remember growing up in the mid 90s. Tv show is late 80s possibly early 90s. A guy grows a giant marrow for a competition but on the way to the competition the marrow is strapped to the roof of the car and makes the car start flying. Bit vague but thanks in advance!
open1990's oil painting show Live Action TV
I'm trying to find an oil painting series that was broad cast on PBS during the mid 90's. It was a woman who painted animals like birds, squirrels, puppies, etc.. she would prepare the canvas with a gray background and would use qtip to remove the gray for white shapes that she would paint over it and turned into beautiful animals. At the end when she would add the eyes, she would say "puddle puddle puddle" that's all I remember. But I can't find anything on google to give me a clue what the show was called or who the instructor was. TIA
Edited by wonderwendyopenSci-fi book
I remember it's a sci-fi book, people were in a generation spaceship, and it reached it's destination, but the grass on the planet was sharp and it wasn't very habitable. I can't remember much, it was a while ago.
openShow with green bunny... and i thing he turned into a purple superhero...
I remember this show that was very rarely on ABC 1 i think before it was split in 3 separate channels (Australia). Anyway it was a computer animation i think. I think the premise was there were all these animal/humanoid things living in this old house and they just had single episode problems to deal with. The only character i remember was this green rabbit like one and i think when bad stuff happened he put on a purple outfit and acted like a super hero. Also i think the intro or outro featured all the characters coming out of a chimney (or maybe going into.)
I recently found a show called Canimals and that wasent it but the animation was closely the same i think, besides the can part.
Sorry if super vague, Im only 50/50 sure i did not imagine it

Edited by Cinders8901openWhat is the name of this YA book about a romance that doesn't work out? Literature
I remember reading the book in high school (2004-2008) so it's either published during that time frame or before. I remember a passage a having a country girl who drives a truck goes out with a unique boy who I think ignores her at one point to get drunk and hangs out/dances with a older lady/groups of older woman. The girl washes her hands of him and is angry by the betrayal and takes a truck to buy ice cream to drown her sorrows out. The boy finds her again and tries to apologize and grabs her arm to keep her from leaving but she is still holding a grudge so she wrenches her arm free, throws the ice cream in the trucks seat, gets in, and slams the truck door in his face. That's all I remember. Does anyone have any idea as to the books title?
openGraphic Novels for kids inspired by wizard of oz? Print Comic
There was a series of graphic novels in my elementary school library, I would have read them between 2004 and 2008. The plot was that there was an author similar to L. Frank Baum who wrote books similar to the Oz books, and a girl discovered the world he wrote about was actually real when she found herself there.
The main character was the girl whose name I can't recall, she was black and I think wore overalls and maybe had pigtails? There was a boy who was made of wax who I think was named Wicks or something like that, and I feel like he betrayed the girl somehow. I also seem to remember the main characters riding in a hot air balloon
Sorry I don't recall more, anyone know of a series like this?.
openLooking for a story for my mom Literature
My mom remembers reading a story years ago. It was about a kid who was sending messages from her colonized planet, trying to reach Santa Claus, and they AI sent the items they needed to protect themselves and bring a truce with the indigenous sentient species. The AI was also investigating the santa claus entity for insurgency.
openYoung children's book about a mermaid in a museum? Literature
So back in 2nd grade before I moved to a different state, my teacher gave me a book as a farewell gift, but during moving it was misplaced somewhere. Basically it was about a kid who dreaded going to what I believe was an art museum and while he walks around, he meets a bright red haired girl who giggles a lot and was described to be wearing squeaky rain boots. At first he thought she was annoying, but then they talked more and he didn't think so anymore. Later, she is revealed to be a mermaid (and I'm not 100% sure she was a mermaid, but I know she wasn't human) and when being driven back, the boy said that he had an amazing time. The art used watercolor paint I believe. Ugh, If only I had more solid memories of this book! Does anyone know of it?
openVegemorphs Literature
I remember we had one of these in my old elementary school. it was a parody of the animorphs series, but they turned into vegetables. the book in question was called something like "the fungus among us". apparently also a shoutout in Arthur?
openNone Live Action TV
A children's show with a man with black hair and a mustache, he was an artist and he used to literally paint things around him on white background. I vaguely remember the show but I watched it early weekend mornings between 95' & 03'. I'm not sure if it was a show or a short within a show but I remember it and its buggy me.
Edited by ReconditeFalconineopenManga About a Flower, Inspired by The Little Mermaid? Anime
So, it's a story about a flower (a morning glory, I think?) who falls in love with a human guy after he almost steps on her, but the guy really likes flowers so he apologizes. So, she gives up her stem, leaves, petals, etc. for a human body, a family, and a house (I think, it's been forever since I read it). Then she meets the guy and they bond over popsicle stick wishes? I think? I also believe an author's note said it was inspired by the Little Mermaid. I know this has been five sentences of unhelpful but I don't remember much. ^^;

I remember watching a television show or maybe movie where there was a couple who was ready to get engaged. The girl was really expecting it and the guy told her it would come at a surprising moment I think. There was a scene where they go to the top of the Empire State Building and she really thinks it's going to happen but it doesn't and she gets really disappointed. So then they get to the bottom and he pops it there! I totally thought it was Jim and Pam from the Office but I just watched it again and it wasn't. Looking to find out what tv show/movie this is from!
Edited by Jordynnmacn
There was this book I read back in middle school (so at the earliest it's from the early 90s probably older). It was a scifi book geared for probably the young adult audience. The protagonist was this teenager who is essentially the luckiest person in the universe. In school in this futuristic society, everyone takes a test to find out where they sit on the probability scale or something like that and he tests as the luckiest person in the galaxy. He ends up pursued by the government of this empire or something and involved with the rebellion, lots of improbable things happen to him along the way because of course he's the luckiest person in the galaxy. I can't remember the name, though, and can't seem to find it through internet searches.
Edit: Never mind I actually found it... Starluck
