openSilver Age Superman story Print Comic
Our "Bruce Wayne Held Hostage" page has this in the list.
"A variation occurred in a Silver Age Superman story. During an attempted heist at a museum, some goons take a bystander hostage and force Superman to help them. Only the "Superman" they have is a lookalike in a Superman costume on his way to his son's school, and the "hostage" is Clark Kent, who they grabbed before he could change clothes. The real Superman ends up having to use his powers to covertly make his kidnappers believe the fake one is the real deal until he can get him safely away. "
Anyone know which story/issue that was? it sounds like a good read, but google has failed me.
openchildren's show that teaches Chinese words
what is the name of the children's show that teaches Chinese words by drawing them?
openCanadian Kids show about girl who taught basic math
This is going to be super super vague, but it's all I can remember. I'm assuming this is a Canadian kids show but it could have been American. Basically, it's a show about a girl who lives in the medieval times, she wears a cloak and other period clothing and stands behind a brown table and teaches kids basic math and spelling and stuff. And I hope I'm not mixing this up with another show, but the opening used to be of her walking in front of a CGI screen which looked like a town and just looking at her surroundings. The character is not animated.
I'm pretty sure it used to air on channel 5 or channel 3 in British Columbia in the late 1990s or early 2000s. I tried finding old channel listings from that time, but I can't seem to find anything! It's driving me mental. I know it's not much to go off of, but you have no idea how much I'd appreciate figuring out what the name of this show is.

Can you please tell me what they are saying in this song?
openWeird CGI or claymation foreign kids' short? Film
It was basically a short film for kids, and I think it was maybe Spanish or Italian dubbed into English although I could be wrong. I saw it on an airplane in the early-mid 2000s if that helps. Basically, there was a family, and the little brother goes to wake up his older sister and she screams at him to leave her alone. The family doesn't know why she's so angry and they take her to a doctor, who tells them she's acting moody because she's becoming a teenager. They send her to this special training place where they try to do tests to make her 'normal' again, like putting her in front of a wall to see if she spray paints on it and stuff. I think it ends with him waking her up again and her reacting normally. It was super weird and I want to be sure this actually existed.

openKids Show from mid 2000-ish Western Animation
the show focused on a black girl and her single mother's life. They lived in an apartment. It was aired on TVO Kids and in one episode the girl got a job at her apartment cleaning because she was friends with the janitor and wanted pocket money. It aired sometime in the late 2000's
openMartial arts cartoon show Western Animation
I'm trying to find a cartoon show where the main characters are these three chinese children (around 12ish); two boys and one girl. One of the boys is long-haired and wears glasses. Serious and bookish character. His outfit resembles a white robe somewhat. His power manifests in form of a dragon. The other one is a reckless character and the one who is always looking for an adventure. Fights often with the boy mentioned above. His power is in a form of a tiger. The girl wears a pink martial arts outfit and her hair is tied into two long pigtails. She can manipulate water (one episode she was protected by a sphere of water that prevented her from drowning in the river). She acts as the mediator of the two boys. One episode showed her future self defecting to the evil side. The three children were unaware of their powers at first. The show's pretty old? From the early 2000s.
openTV show with time stopping stopwatch
I'm trying to identify a TV show from the 80's (possibly late 70's) were this man was able to freeze time with a "magic" stopwatch. When frozen everything was still and lit in red and he could move around and manipulate things. He could then re-activate the watch and everything would start again. I have had a few people say they have a vague recollection of this show, but can't remember any details.
openObscure comic regarding a detective who may have been a frog Print Comic
I can vaguely remember a comic serial which must have been British involving a detective, who was drawn very simply, with a black trenchcoat, trilby and bug eyes - he may have been a frog. He was involved in an adventure in which he fought a Fu Manchu type villain. He burned through a rope using a watch glass. The villain had eggs with lions inside them as a weapon. "Your eggs have little lions on them - our eggs have little lions inside them!" The title may have included the words "private eye"
openNew Zealand YA show? Live Action TV
what was that show that aired in the mid to late 2000s, was set in New Zealand, and was about a blonde teenage boy who liked to surf? CBBC or Cartoon Network I think. It was about him and his family. I think maybe his mum died or something because I remember them being given meals by other people and him being like um excuse me wtf. Also I think there might have been something to do with his granddad's driving license getting taken away in one episode. Also I'm pretty sure his best friend played guitar. And the love interest had brown curly hair and a balcony. I think she was way mor rich than him or something? And maybe her parents were getting divorced? Idk, I've probably mixed it all up with other TV shows but if anyone could help at all that would be fab 🙃
openStory written in second person Web Original
I remember reading a short story online that was written in second person about a guy talking to you at a bar and he's trying to find info on some tv show he and his sister watched as children. It was vaguely unsettling because it was like his sister and his lives revolved around figuring out what the tv show was, to the point that before his sister died she asked him to keep searching
openOld TV show, a man with some kind of house on an island
An old tv show, a man has some kind of massive tree house of some sort on an island. I think he was stranded, occasionally faces some threats from nearby tribes? Think he lived alone too.
open2D cartoon with little animals Western Animation
Hello! I am trying to figure out the name of a 5 minute 2D animation cartoon that played between shows where all the little animals, mountains, stars and trees had smiley faces and little round pink/red noses. Little bats even carried in the night sky to signify night time. I remember this cartoon from the late 90s early 2000s and need your help to put a name to it.
openA series about conning people? Live Action TV
A series about people hiring professional conmen to scam their relatives? I only watched one episode where this guy got the conmen to scam his uncle, his reason being that his uncle is a pretty guilible person and he doesn't wish for a real scam to befall his uncle.
The conmen agrees and execute an elaborate scam to get the uncle to invest in. In order to pull of that big heist, they commited other smaller scams such as stealing a car (so they appear rich in front of the uncle) in which two conmen pretended to be a couple buying a secondhand car. One of them pretended to have an injured leg and was on crutches, and before they went for a test drive, asked to use the owner's toilet in the house so the owner had to get down the car to open his house door. That was when they made off with the car.
Another thing I remember was towards the completion of the scam, with the uncle passing the cash to the conmen, the uncle seemed to realise something is amiss only when he is out. He walks back, to find an empty room, of course.
Might be asking too much here, but anyone knows the show and that exact episode? I googled and thought it might be Hustle/Real Hustle and went through the episode list but maybe I was careless as nothing seems to strike me.
openNo Title Western Animation
I was just randomly reminded of a snippet of a cartoon I once saw ages and ages ago. What I can remember is that some people were in an exotic location — I think an alien planet, and had lost their pet dog, but were going to a restaurant. They find the dog's collar in the food they order, and assume the dog was caught and cooked... but in the reveal, it turns out that only the dog's collar was cooked — apparently, the red leather it was made of was considered good food (possibly even a delicacy) by those running the restaurant.
openTV show about magic teenagers stuck at government school on missing continent
The school was surrounded by a forest containing killer robots, one of which was destroyed and its head was put on the flagpole. The main character, a boy, had future-vision which helped him in fights. I think there was a number in the show name?
idk what this show is called but i think it was only up for a little while.. maybe in the 2005-2010 era?? it was either on cartoon network or nickelodeon. i just remember that it was kinda ugly and the art style was similar to Flapjack. i remember that the main character was a female who was always bitter and was fairly short. i think she had a twin but i'm not too sure. i remember one episode where she sang a song about how much she loved eating onions.. the fact that i can't find this show anywhere is killing me! please help!
