open80s movie with humanoid aliens hiding out in a house with mom and teen daughter Film
This was an 80s movie (or maybe late 70s) that I stumbled across on TV once when I was a teenager. It involved a group of humanoid aliens hiding out in a house occupied by a single mother and her teenage daughter. The aliens resembled humans with pale skin and glam-rock hair and clothes but I recall them being rather glowwy and having some difficult communicating. They were being hunted or pursued by another extraterrestrial force, though I don't remember if their enemies were of the same species or different. The aliens have trouble communicating with the mom and daughter, and at first the humans think they are hostile, but then they realize the aliens are scared and hiding out, so they help them. The movie had a very "Starman clone" type of vibe with one of the aliens being an attractive young man close in developmental age to the daughter and they developed a bond. Very 80s, with the mother-daughter conflict revolving around the departure (I forget whether due to death or divorce) of the girl's dad. I didn't see the whole movie but I remember it being very atmospheric.
Edited by FTDopenRobots take over; one tries to recreate humans; is tortured for his crimes
Hey all! I love this site and this particular tool has helped me before.
My friend was rather traumatised by a show (movie?) from years ago where robots take over the world. One of them tries to recreate humans but is caught by robot society, punished, and tortured. The full description she gave is below. If you can help out, I'd really appreciate it!
I watched a show years ago where robots had taken over the world first created by humans, they had all become fully sentient and had obliterated humanity they were self-governing and had replicated human society, only there were no humans they looked really completely human-like it must have been a very old thing because I watched it as a kid anyway, one of the robots secretly tried to build humans because he believed what had been done to humans was wrong he had a man and a woman in a liquid bath thing in his basement but he wasn't too good at keeping his secret, and the robot fellows found him out and he was punished and it was the scene of the punishment that so traumatised me they hung him up for all to see, and his wires were sticking out the way human innards would and I have been unable to find this and confirm its existence surely, surely I didn't dream it all up as a kid? they gutted him and practically crucified him
Oh, by the way, my friend is in her early 20s, so since she watched this as a child that might help you date it

I remember reading an Undertale Webcomic that featured a part where Mettaton plagerized some of Napstablook's and Shyren's songs, but I can't remember the name of it. Can someone help me with it?
openGibberish boy cartoon
I'm looking for a cartoon about a boy who spoke only gibberish words. I'm pretty sure he had two friends, a boy and a girl. He either went on adventures or solved mysteries, my mind is fuzzy. His name may be George but I'm not quite sure. I've been searching for it for ages so I would appreciate the help so much!
Edited by OceanicJackopenSingle Cartoon Episode Western Animation
I believe this was a Warner Bros. Cartoon based on the animation style anyway. Anyway, careful because I remember a lot of the cartoon, just not the name so this is full of spoilers.
There's a fighting bull that is famous for never having lost to a bullfighter. He has a wife and calf that are impressed, but he decides that it's time to hang up his horns (literally). Now the calf has to learn to play the horn and has to play using his father's horns. Anyway, a new cowboy bullfighter comes onto the scene so the bull decides that he can't retire now and fights this cowboy. However, the cowboy is able to fly using his lasso and uses this to win against the bull. Eventually, the bull is tied up and taken into a BBQ tent. Of course, his son shows up and beats the cowboy. However, upon returning home, the calf's mother still wants him to practice playing the horn and his father decides to join him.
So, with all that I still haven't been able to google it. Anyone know the name?
openStop Motion Children TV Series Live Action TV
It's probably around 10 - 20 years old, but I remember it was about a man and his dog (It may not be a dog, my friends seems to remember it as a giraffe), that were made of rubbish or recycled materials, and they would go on adventures together. I think I saw it on milkshake, but I may be mistaken. They appear to summon things into creation, such as a hot air balloon that gets made in stages, as if the animator animated making it, so it would be a box, then it gets covered in newspaper, then something is added on top of that, and then string, and a balloon etc. And that's all I can remember apart from thinking that it was very creative. Thanks - Harry Robins.

openDinosaurs and rock mecha Anime
I remember watching an anime on tv at the end of 80's. There was a highschool student who went to a museum. There was a statue or something about a moon goddess with a crescent as her symbol. Somehow some blood spilt on the statue and he was travelled to the time or dimension of the goddess. In this dimension an evil wizard was resurrecting dinosaurs with magic from their bones to conquer the world. There was a giant warrior statue which became a mecha when dinosaurs appeared. The protagonist used this mecha to fight dinosaurs. It was really gory if I remember correct. Dinosaurs were realistic looking. There were T. Rexes, pterenodons, triceratops. The wizard was riding a velociraptor. I searched for this show for years. I hope someone can find what it was
Edited by akursahopenSahuagin Based Game? Videogame
I somehow recall there being what looked like D&D based video game on sahuagin sometime in the 1990s or 2000s. It seemed unique but ended up not buying it. It looked 3D. I remember when looking up video game reviews and the cheats for it notably only included .ini line entry to control display of seashell bikini tops.
openLike the octanauts
So as a kid I remember watching this show like the octanauts when the characters would select different vehicles with different attachments to do stuff. I may be wrong but I think there base was in the ocean
opensomething I saw a year ago, then forgot due to completely avoiding it. Film
I was watching a compilation of every Cuphead boss, when it got to King Dice there was a group of wine with legs but no arms. When I saw the big rectangle shaped bottle I was reminded of something else. 3 food items around a fireplace either singing or talking about something. Something distinct I know was they had hair. The items in question were what I remember as a roll cake, rice (He could have been oatmeal, or flour though.) and some wine. Maybe there was four, I'm not sure but I think it was three.
openI need to find a cartoon/anime
Im looking for a show that was on Tv when i was in kindergarden (around 12-14 years ago) with a guy young master that had the power to transform into a red suit/armor and had a friend/rival that looked like a samurai and had the power to transform into a silver suit/armor similar to his and a girl that looked muslim that had the power to control fire that liked the samurai guy. The red armor guy had a butler that had the power to transform into an armor aswell that was pretty strange. I believe he was adressing him "young master" or something like that. Please help.
openA cartoon with a white haired woman Western Animation
I can't remember any character names but i recall that there was a normal man and a white haired woman who had powers that made her and her hair float upwards. In one particular episode, it showed that others of her kind had different hair colours like green and pink(?) and she had to take over the position of the queen. Their lives were linked to a rock or tree that was being pierced by some sort of tank that they managed to force out in the end.
Does anyone know what this show is? Thanks
openKids show with circus animal puppets Live Action TV
Hi, I am trying to find a kids show from the late 90s or early 2000s about circus animal puppets. There were three of them I believe, but I only remember a zebra with orange and pink/purple stripes. I believe it was on Discovery Kids (The Discovery Channel’s kids block) and I believe was produced by Hi T entertainment, as I remember seeing ads for it on Thomas the Tank Engine DV Ds. Please help.
openHelp me find out this tv show name
Hey I'm looking for a show that aired a couple years back. Around 2000(s) I think.
I know it was a british sitcom. It was about two friends that took a plane ride to the US to go to Comic Con.
They stayed at a hotel and when they woke up there was no one nowhere. Everyone in the world had disapeared. Until they found a big blue monster of sorts. Don't remember much more
Edited by MarianaMopenOld Anime (?) About Poor Girl and Rich Boy
When I was a kid (I was born in 2000) there was this anime/Chinese or Korean animated show (there is a small chance it was actually Western) I'm pretty sure it was named after the protagonist, a girl. If I remember well she had a crush on this guy who ran away from his (rich?) house at some point (when she was about to confess to him) and something would happen whenever she came close to seeing him again. I think it was long, maybe longer than 7 seasons but I'm not sure. Please help!
openKid's Show with Green Puppets? Film
Okay. I remember watching this show as a kid. And I can't remember the name. So, there is a kid (probably girl?) and her mother. The mother is orange, and the girl is green? Everyone is a puppet. I remember the girl is Mona, or something like that. And the girl has a really husky voice. I only remember one episode, where the girl had her first haircut, and the mom taped the clipping into a book. Anyone?
openWeird Bilingual Christian Radio Station, Southern California Radio
Alright, so this is probably kind of an unusual YKTS, but bear with me. I live in the greater greater Los Angeles area area in Southern California, specifically Pasadena, and a while back I had a rental car that had the radio preset to this really weird Christian radio station. The signal was pretty weak, so I don't think it was a Pasadena station, but I was able to receive it, so it can't have been that far away.
The preacher on the station was giving this long schpiel about how Jesus fulfilled the Jewish messianic prophecy, but the Jews still didn't accept him (repeatedly reminding the listener how small the chances of the prophecy being fulfilled so exactly were, never going into any detail on why the Jews don't accept Jesus but also never directly condemning them, and also never saying much else about Jesus apart from that he fulfilled the prophecy), but he never seemed to be nearing any sort of point or message or conclusion, making the whole sermon seem kind of pointless, and every couple minutes would circle back around to the beginning of his schpiel and give you the same information he'd already told you again, but with slightly different wording. The sermon wasn't trying to be inspirational. It wasn't warning anybody about hell or damnation. It wasn't working towards any sort of message about God or morals or faith or whatever. It was just sorta... there, ya know?
After every sentence the preacher read, a different voice with different audio quality would say a sentence in Spanish (I don't speak Spanish, but I assume the second voice was translating) in a tone completely devoid of emotional inflection (it's possible the second voice was synthetic, but I'm not sure). The English speaking preacher, the first voice, didn't really seem to have any accent I could identify, or even much character besides having something that almost sounded like the typical radio preacher enthusiasm, but without any of the energy.
Honestly, it was a pretty awful and terribly dull station, even as radio preacher stations go, but the station's bizarre idiosyncrasies made the overall experience just so goddamned surreal that I kinda want to mine their broadcasts for audio clips to include in some later project.

Trying to find a show where a kid would draw some random lines, and the host would use those lines to draw a picture. Probably a Saturday morning show, may have been local to New York/New Jersey. Does anyone remember this?
