I don't think it's "putting someone on a pedestal" to expect them to treat their employees halfway decently. That nonsense is inexcusable regardless of how good or bad a person is.
If this was something about personal lives like all the hook ups and break ups you'd have a point, but this stuff is more on how CA has been conducting itself as a business for the past few years. That holds more weight then just regular gossip.
It's telling that 2014 didn't have an anniversary special. That should tell you something.
Wow, The Uncanny Valley was almost 2 years ago.
From what I understand the main reason anniversary specials aren't a thing anymore is because they're more trouble than they're worth. TBF was always planned to be the last one of it's scale. Though I have heard they might do one for the ten year, if the site even lasts that long. :P
I think that's just because Uncanny Valley didn't do that well. It was an experiment to see if they could get a film out without having to fly everyone to Chicago to film something with Doug.
At the same time Doug said he doesn't want to do specials like the earlier ones because they were too taxing on everyone.
Of course Doug also got rid of the critic, but went back on that. So who knows, maybe he'll find himself forced to bite the bullet and do another one some day.
It sure won't be the same though, since alot of the regulars for them just left the site or have left even prior to that.
@Northwind: Yes, but certain people here are behaving like they just learned Santa Claus isn't real
After all the other drama? I think I'm going to be handling this with gloves and a ten foot pole. Tired of internet drama.
Me and my friend's collaborative webcomic: Forged MenHey, did you know that Ed Glaser is not part of CA anymore? Since May, even. Oddly, his vidoes were hosted on the new site but they are gone now.

Kyun: Late but some people are under the impression that the best way to deal with drama is to completely ignore it. I know several people like that who think that IRL. Drama? Ignore it. Avoid it at all costs. Let it die. It will eventually die and stop mattering.
The problem is that as a third party all it does is make you ignore the drama while it simmers underneath.
Read my stories!@Spooky Mask: Probably because people didn't expect the administration to be outright malicious in it's incompetence. That sort of thing can be hard to take for long time fans of anything.
If you look back, the signs have been there for years. Remember how Bar Fiesta was going to be a thing? Or the Gingrich-esque firing of Holly? People were just largely able to ignore it because no one on the inside wanted to talk about it in any detail. Now the floodgates are opening and a lot of ill will that's been simmering for the past few years is being vented.
Bad breakups in entertainment are nothing new and both fans and detractors of the site are going to eat this up for as long as it goes on. Not much anyone can really do about it.

*sigh* I suppose so. I still don't have to like the "Like watching a car crash" side of this thing <_<

It seems we won't get any comment on the issue from Rob.
Just a person. He/him.In which we learn that, yes, timing IS important. Kyle has been a favorite of mine, seeing him in crossovers was always neat.
Me and my friend's collaborative webcomic: Forged MenI do hope the Channel Awesome dispora doesn't mean an end to Crossovers, then again Crossovers were never exclusive contained to that Guy with the Glasses. I think Kyle's latest crossover with Jerk was before the latter joined TGWTG.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.Time appears to be a theme here.
The defining factor in Lupa, and thus a ton of her contemporaries, staying on or leaving the site was 15 measily little minutes.
I think Kyle said on twitter that he was appearing in the Jerk's new season...
Me and my friend's collaborative webcomic: Forged MenOoh, that'd be swell. Both of their shows (and Todd's) have always been my favorites ever since I started watching them.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here. The majority of the producers are still friends and have done crossovers with people on and off the site, and I think they will continue to do that in the future.
Seems like Lindsay and Kyle were leaving regardless and it looks alot worse that it really was because it happened to time badly with Lupa getting fired. Phelon meanwhile probably left because of Lupa.
Seems like Lupa was the only real one the brass had it out for. I wonder why.
She mentions that, after she increased the number of midroll ads in her videos, the CA staff got upset about this leading to more people using adblocker while visiting the site, and things just sort of spiraled from there.
It definitely seems like it would have been a legitimate concern (and predicted a trend), but that response I have seen seems kinda douchey.
Me and my friend's collaborative webcomic: Forged MenMike wanted to hold a live chat with Lupa online to discuss what's going on with her, and she went away from the computer for 15 minutes. ... apparently, Mike got impatient, shut down the chat, and proceeded to delete absolutely every single one of her videos from CA.
So yeah. Lupa got "semi-fired" on the accusation of... "not... being.. at her computer for 15 minutes".
Like I said earlier, this is all because Michaud is a jerk and site's management has really bad communication issues
And honestly, its not even as bad situation as people think, since there isn't really mass exodus, just a series of coincidences that happen to align with supreme asshole's jerkiness <_< Why do people love doomsaying so much?

Well this is slightly more drama then I expected when I was lazily scrolling through CA. now that all this is coming out I'm wondering if I should drop CA and just bookmark the few people I normally follow.
Is using "Julian Assange is a Hillary butt plug" an acceptable signature quote?
