Shou's a pretty cool person, then?

She shoots lasers, and one might even say she doesn't afraid of anything.

@Bocaj: given that her ability is called "To drown people", I don't think it's tied to boat only sinking anymore...
Let us have a moment of silence in memory of all the Ship Sinking jokes about the not-so-good Captain. They will surely be sorely missed.

She has a bright personality and is a good conversationalist. While she's flooding a ship she likes to chat with the owner. She's gotten a lot of good practice with her rhetorical skills in this way.

"Wh'sup?"

"Yarr, not much. Kinda bummed that ye be drownin' me crew."

"Yeah, kinda sucks."

It'd be kind of funny if she had a bunch of ghost pirate friends from her past exploits.

Or, er, ghost sailors.

I didn't really expect her to be still active up to this day. And the fact that she's associated with water more than boats surprised me. I mean, how deep is the water in a shrine cleansing pool anyway? You could just be washing your face or hands or something and she'll just pop out of nowhere and hold you in? The humans of Gensokyo sure have it tough...

I wonder if she chats with Komachi or attacks her boat sometimes. I think the Titanic would be different from normal boats, as far as sinkability goes.

The Sanzu's water is not your good old H 2 O though (nothing else will stay float)...I think it'll be very different...

[up][up]Well at least she now picks her victims, not that makes anything better.

The way the article is written gives me the impression that several boats have already been sunken in Gensokyo. It just seems unlikely. I'm applying the same Akyuu brand of quality to these stunning revelations. Drowning someone cleansing themself at a shrine, really.

On the other hand, I still want to see her fight Futo.

I can imagine something like small fishing boats in the lake or something.

Or kayakers.

It is a huge lake and probably has fish but we've never heard anything about fishing boats before. Again I curse the Human Village's lack of exposited logistics.

Anyone in a kayak probably secretly welcomes the cold embrace of death anyway.

Since Futo's boat seems to have the ability to fly, I think it might be a bit tricky to sink.

And I thought people stayed away from the lake because here be vampires. Also the presence of a certain fairy means icebergs are probably a yearlong hazard.

[up][up]Probably. The general implication is that she's responsible for "accidents". I mean, how can you tell if it was her or not when the victims die? I'd imagine most of these are "did you hear that X-san drowned in the bath last month? Must've been that ghost."

Agreed. I was taken Kayaking by some friends once. My kayak sank. In a marsh. Filled with crocodiles. At night. And I ruined my FAVORITE pair of gloves!

I can just see it crashed on the beach and Murasa bein' all, "Damn it! So close!"
I'm now picturing Murasa with a Snidely Whiplash mustache and tophat, shaking her fist at Futo and being all "I'll get you next time!" before dramatically running off-screen.

How does anyone drown in the bath? What kind of weird accident has to happen for that to be the outcome?

Like the Night Sparrow thing, I blame booze. So and so got night blind and wandered off the path never to be seen, must have been a night sparrow and not three bottles of sake he drank.

Dude drowned in a bath, must have been that ebul boat ghost at that temple. Nothing to do with the dude's crippling alcoholism. Or narcolepsy?

If falling asleep in the bath is a thing that happens to you a lot, you don't have baths. It's common sense and it won't get you killed.

Oh Murasa, you murderous scamp.

Also, from a few pages ago,

I think Satori has gotten fancier. She's also stolen her sister's rose motif. Well, these things happen when you're an unperson. Your motifs get stolen.

Satori's always had a rose design on her dress.

Welp

The pattern's more noticeable in SoPM, though.

>Gensokyo
>common sense
There's a difference between being nonsensical and being stupid. And continuing to have deep, drownable baths despite a history of bath sleeping is stupid.

Buying baths that are "Drownable" in the first place is also pretty stupid.

Maybe the villagers should stop purchasing baths from that mysterious bath-salesperson in the sailor suit.

Maybe they should just have showers. Just sayin'.

Catch a rain fairy and keep her in the attic. Then just stand naked in the garden whenever you feel the need to bathe.
