Saints Row 2 is very good. S.T.A.L.K.E.R., also, though I suggest you patch it ASAP. Any Fallout will do.
Half-Life: Dual Nature, a crossover story of reasonably sized proportions.

I enjoy crossing animals, as well as cultivatig celestial bodies and living papier-mache party animals. I think which ones you'll prefer has a lot to do with how goal-oriented you are, and whether you're fine with making your own goals or you prefer having them given to you.

I've never played one. What are they like? What can you do in them? Which ones are the best?
