Note you cAn get the best Daichi Ending by recruiting all normal Zodiac Trophy on the Daichi splut where you've screwed them all over by killing Polaris. Its amazing.

Daichi's kill Polaris ending, has to be the worst happiest neutral ending in the series.

As I said AO is clearly the next ending I'd want to go for but...no Yamato.

Whatever I do, Ronaldo will be last.

You know, it seems like a misconception that Law heroes can't show any form of rebellion against the social harmony, doesn't Zayin go rogue against the Center when he gets orders from God and is disgusted after the whole Abaddon incident? And okay, maybe SMT IV isn't the best example, but Johnathan was the one who convinced Hope to let Flynn and the rest of the prentices to the forest.(even though that totally should have been Walter) and the four archangels do abolish the caste system. Granted, Zayin and the four Archangels did receive orders from YHVH so they can remain Law while rebelling, but Zayin rebels against YHVH after firing the ark.

I mean he has to fulfill the purpose YH Vh made him for whether he wants to or not(Kill everyone not worthy), he simply reinterprets his purpose/programming afterwards to effectively judge himself and God for committing the act and God allowing shit to get so bad in the first place.

Jon drank the kool aid immediately after their world hopping.

Food for thought, If it's true that humans are bastards are what made YHVH such a jerk, in a Law ending, could Aleph and Hiroko educate the people on Eden that YHVH is actually benevolent and create a good YHVH? I mean it kinda fits with the old testament becoming new testament symbolism in the Law ending.

I actually like Johnathan as a law rep, since he does have his good moments, like saving us from Navarre's goons, and as OOC as it is, him scaring the shit out of that Ashura kai grunt was badass. I get where he's coming from when he doesn't want Mikado to change, and why he doesn't want Tokyo refugees in Mikado, as cold as that is, it has a semblance of logic to it, culture shock and all, even if i don't agree with him. And at least he recognizes that Lilith is a threat unlike Walter who falls for her cheap slogans like an idiot. Then all that goes out the window when he merges and becomes Merkahbah. At least his why can't man help each other out speech was good.

I thought that was something Word of God stated.

Has it been disproved? Cause I always thought it was just a throwaway excuse they made up to justify YHVH always being unceasingly evil, but if it's just something someone made up, it's a little more irking.

Kaneko said that a massive flaw in reality is why YHVH is cruel. It's never stated what this flaw is, but the fanbase believes because observation is what powers the various gods in this series, it have something to do with Humans are bastards.

Was the "YHVH is evil because of a flaw in reality" something Kaneko actually said, or was that a mistranslation?

Hang on, i checked YHVH's SMT wiki page, and i saw the quote Omega was referring to, it's more of, YHVH is not portrayed as the embodiment of all evil

Given that Law is almost always portrayed as bad even if it is a valid choice, Kaneko's quote may have been a smokescreen so that the series could make it across the pond into American markets (and Americans are absurdly religious, so it isn't hard to see why I view Kaneko's quote as a smokescreen). And the European markets if they remember about them.

That's, for the most part my thought too.

They have no intention of revealing what this true evil is, because it will always be YHVH.

The best we'll get is the reveal in Apocalypse that he went nutters because he was alone and needed someone to balance him.

[up]I thought the bit about YHVH going nuts because of solitude turned out to be false? Or was it something else? I remember something about Apocalypse that people were talking about as if it were true, only for the localization to reveal that it very likely wasn't there even in the original Japanese version.

I believe it was speculation in Japanese version only by Dagda

Where Dagda is 150% Depressed rther than EMBRACE THE EDGE BOYO.

It's strange that Law is portrayed as bad despite also being portrayed as a valid choice because isn't Japan big on social harmony? Would Law be treated more positively if they had Japanese deities as spokespeople instead of western angels and deities? I'm not 100% sure how accurate Lucifer and Chaos are in 1 and 2 with all the confusion about the Aeon Genesis translation, but they are pretty cool guys to hang out with, and usually have the moral high ground even if the world they want is pure social Darwinism. I mean Law in 2 makes you feel like a bastard for killing Lucifer since you know, genocide.

SMT iv does have the Law side definitely be western influenced, the kingdom of Mikado, the angels wanting to destroy manga and weebs, I MEAN books and knowledge that are japanese related, and off course, their goal is to use a destructive explosive device to eliminate a populated area of Japan for the greater good. Food for thought.

Chaos is just as Western influenced. Lucifer is no less Western and Abrahamic than YHVH and angels and even in SJ those Chaos Gods were all from Western pantheons. Although they are supported by the Four Devas.

Neutral in IV/A is explicitly represented by Japanese deities, though. So there is your answer on which is the right choice.

SMT has always been weird about its "multiple choice" endings. There's nearly always a clear choice that the author wants you to pick, usually Neutral. SMTIV and Apocalypse just remove any pretense that Law or Chaos are serious options.

(Which is why I like Devil Survivor, because the majority of the routes are reasonable choices that lead to positive outcomes, and you can actually make a difference.)
