Yeah. Yamato probably figured it was just some scrub who got in his way so he rubbed him out. He is capable of at least that.

I suppose it's a Deconstruction of But for Me, It Was Tuesday. He thought so little of Dera Deka that he didn't even bother to confirm if he really killed him or not, and his attitude did nothing to deny it either.

Fucked up all around

It's kinda funny in a twisted way if you think about it. Dera Deka refused to let MC tell anyone about his survival because he thought J Ps would do something to them, however Yamato wouldn't hurt Airi since she's useful and would have left her alone otherwise. Then Ronaldo is actively targeting them but is considered a nuisance.

You know, in spite of everything, I'm almost tempted to replay the first Devil Survivor. I wanna see Haru again and get an ending with her.

Might be the best song in either game. It's so amazing.

Neutral as always is the least problematic morally but you don't ultimately solve the conflict.

Law and Chaos are definite ends to the scheming for better or for worse.

I cannot side with Law in this case and even going for Chaos means Naoya gets off scot-free.

Still, imo, going full Demon Lord is funnily enough one of the better endings.

Granted, one of the strengths of this game is how strong the endings are despite whatever philosophy you hold.

The De Su games are far more liberating in letting us choose a path that isn't dumb like mainline is. So you aren't punished or treated as wrong by the ending for the path you chose

Except the bad endings, Yuzu's original, Liberator(?), and Tri Ronaldo.

That "ending" hurts a lot.

I can't stress enough how grateful I am for this as well. The game made becoming the Demon Lord sound perfectly plausible and even right and just. Same for Yamato.

That's always the way with Neutral. Neutral is kicking the can down the road. People squirm about killings now as a result of going Law or Chaos but these people will all die anyway somewhere down the line. Possibly even more of them than would die in an "extreme" ending. Neutral is the status quo and the status quo often sucks.

Atsuro's route is rather unique. Japan gaining a permanent spot on the UN Security Council because of demon power is not something that you would see in a typical scenario for SMT games.

As someone who thinks society should provide for its weakest, I can't see anything good about Vanilla Yamato. At best it seems Repressive, but Efficient, but given that Ronaldo's way seems both efficient and non-repressive...

Nikkolas Yuzus 8th Day also has a bad ending thats achievable as well. Its built on messing up across the game that you get literally nothing for beating it.

Even Daichis Bad Ending you can get the trophy for recruiting all possible characters.

How do you get that bad ending for Yuzu?

So I played most of DDS 1 butit barely has a plot. How does Brahman differ from YHVH or Polaris?

Was he git on "ordeals" too?

My memory of Digital Devil Saga 2's plot is a bit hazy on that regard but IIRC Brahman gets pissed at humanity when a massive amount of corrupted data is transferred to Him. He's not presented as a character in the same way as YHVH and Polaris are; He doesn't banter with the party or verbally speak, and the brief pre-boss cutscene with Him is incredibly video gamey (IE: "Humans aren't irredeemable!" Fight me. /final boss battle starts/)

God's despair was negatively impacting the environment and then humanity put a Mad Scientist in charge of the project who manipulated a little girl Brahman liked to talk to, which due to their connection meant when she broke after seeing his true colors God broke.

That is how you got Atma Avatars and the sun became even more dangerous than it already was.

To be honest, Brahman is my least favorite of the god-entities in Megaten. Because to me, he feels less like an actual character and more of a force of nature. Since he doesn't even talk.

Great music though.

He is meant to be mre a force of nature than a character. Just like Manitou in Soul Hackers.

I just gotta say as we go off to rescue Saiduq that Yamato deserves no criticism when compared to this other Chief. Myako is awful.

And I'm sure there is some reality warping going on here and she is Yamato in drag because the game is just building up and up and up to some pretty big twist and whammy. But at present, I can only give my current impressions and my current impressions is I miss Yamato. He approved of initiative.

Also I must reiterate that it seems like Io is the canon LI but you can flirt with everyone and it seems to me that Makoto is always the most flustered about it besides Io. Dunno if that's supposed to mean anything.

Io is as canon as Yuzu from my perspective.

Makoto is the type of person that gets knocked off balance easily. She even implies the MC is laidback canonically so might not be used to a guy like that.
