The big secret? You don't really need to attempt the teleport maze at all, only the one-way door maze. Take the first warp in the teleport maze, then take the stairs down to the door maze. Follow the door maze until you reach a room in the north-center of the floor with a stairway up to your south.
What the game wants you to do is be fooled by several other stairways in the door maze that spit you out in other parts of the teleport maze, but if you know where to go this is actually completely unnecessary!

meanwhile I was mapping every single tile in the game and realized a bit late it was more or less pointless since you can't map everything on the first playthough.

Supposedly if you map every tile in the game the Dantalian on the top floor of Eridanus will give you ten of each Incense. This is about the one SMT challenge I've never tried, though.

Beat up Pale Rider. He was easy. Only one foe in Grus remains, at least until the *shudder* bonus section...
I heard there's an APP obtainable via a sidequest forma in the womb that makes it so the map area to a certain extent is revealed on the map. Haven't tried to find it myself though. Makes it a lot easier to cover it all.
I am proud to say I mapped out SJ Maps in the original on Every Route and got all the rewards including free money! *Obnoxious Smug Noises*

It's not like SMT hasn't had Audrey from Little Shop Of Horrors as well as Beetlejuice as capturable demons before.
It makes sense honestly, since demons are usually supposed to be formed from humanity's thoughts. Pop-culture is ingrained in our minds today a lot more than old mythology is.

Chapter Seven and its alternate branch for Dx 2 are out. Joshua becomes the vessel for a collection of human malice from the Dragon Stream in the Liberators route, while Einherjar is the Final Foe of the Acolytes Route. Lucifer is the Final Boss of Liberators and Mastema for Acolytes.

x2 Nah it was just a demon summoned as the last Boss. The Endings to each route makes it clear that real demons will be ignoring the Alien Non-Interference Clause Demons of the Demon World have as a "Extinction Event" will soon happen to humanity. One Einherjar and Astaroth/Jabo know can't be prevented no matter the route.
Ive yet to get high enough but I heard the meta srill involves Alilat for the high tiers.

Einherjars identity is casually dropped too. Mephistopheles. Also don't be surprised if Star Gods get into Dx 2 because VANITAS is something even demons don't know the origin of. Only that it will cause a Scharzwalt type disaster if enough human malice is collected.

By the way, Eirikr did an interesting count and found out that SMTIV's Compendium contains well over half the demons with Kaneko designs. Wow.
This is the greatest thing. Maybe most or even all of you have seen it before so forgive me for reposting it. I love it so much.
If I may offer one criticism of SJR, it's that even if you're going for the new Law and Chaos endings, you're still required to agree to the more extreme versions first, and thus must endure the game beating you over the head with how terrible you are for killing Gore, mindwiping the crew, etc.
Doesn't help that the Law crew look stoned out of their minds, either.
Exit Grendel, and with him the actually interesting part of Grus.
