Didn't think it was that hard to figure things based on what you're given.
I often found whatever I did in the early parts, I never had the space to move more than two inches, and would get ambushed. Had a hard time figuring out skill cracking, though that's probably just me.
Well Jaki demons do have the ability to restrict map movement.
Had trouble with Skill Cracking initially as well, though that was because I misread the explanation.

Welp, no news of V.
I can't say goodbye to yesterday…I'm not expecting anything until around the concert in March.
so when does Nocturne remastered come out in the us
A European retailer leak suggests May, I think?
God, that's a long time. That's not even spring, that's on the cusp of summer.
I can't say goodbye to yesterday…Holy hell why is Digital Devil Saga so excellent. It's exactly the bridge game of Nocturne combat with new additions and customized skills, but with the classic mid 00s Atlus edge, the unique direction and writer, the SOUNDTRACK...
It's good shit.
Also, Gaea Rage. I'll beat the Demi-fiend one of these days...
I can't say goodbye to yesterday…Now this is where I know I'm in the minority but I really did not like DDS. it's the only SMT game I quit.
It has no plot. None. Zero. The bat villain gets more focus than anything else in the game.
I hear the second game explains everything but that's not how you do anything. You need to actually entice me to play the sequel.
DDS 1 has less character and plot than Nocturne. You just go here, do stuff, go there, do stuff, repeat until you meet the general guy or something and then they are like "oh shit! There's a story here!" Too little, too late.
Good music, though.
What do you mean "no story"? It's not the greatest story I've ever seen, but to say it's nonexistent is a disservice to it.
I can't say goodbye to yesterday…"No Story"
Are you fucking serious. I've seen some hot takes from you, but this literally makes no sense at all.

Watch SymphogearProbably a classic case of "I don't like the story = it has no story" misuse.

And even then, DDS's Story was created in mind to be a Duology.
Its also an insult to original Novel's versions' Author, too.
Watch SymphogearIt absolutely has no fuckin' story. You literally just go from dungeon to dungeon with no real explanation of what's going on or any worldbuilding.. The character are given no backstory or real personality beyond the most superficial details like Heat is an asshole and the one girl is soft-hearted and the one guy is kinda silly.
It asolutely is on par with Nocturne with just having no direction or focus.
Let's just do absolutely nothing in the first game so we can put everything in the sequel.
You're proving my point the game is impossibly badly written.

Quit being hostile, bub.
Watch SymphogearSorry, I passionately don't like this game because I was promised a "more traditional JRPG compared to SMT." Traditional JRPG which means lots of cutscenes and character development and a focused narrative that builds up as you go from place to place.
It's absolutely not that. It's just a dungeon crawler with no plot or character development until the final dungeon and the sequel. It genuinely irritates me. I don't like being misled. That pissed me off a lot with P5, too.
Or maybe you just think you're being misled?
Because I've never heard DDS be reffered to as a Traditonal JRPG.

Trans rights are human rights.Yes it does. Unless there's some weirdo internet definition of "story" I'm not aware of.
"Story you don't like" =/= "It has no story."
Well that is your experience but not mine. I've been talking about JRPG's with people for 20 years now and as a huge fan of Xenogears, I even inquired about games like it and somebody recommended me Digital Devil Saga. I have definitely read multiple folks trumpeting it up as a more narrative-driven and traditional JRPG than mainline SMT.
Because ther'es not monster fusion of collection like SMT. Thats what they were talking about.
And no, the fact that you said that DDS has "No Story" IS not a Hot Take, its an insulting take to everyone who worked on them. Simple as that.
Watch Symphogear
I've tried restarting twice, and I still don't get Desu. It's like it crams a ton of different mechanics unique to the rest of the franchise in these battle segments, and better get used to them fast. It's a pretty bad way to tutorialize how you're supposed to do anything.
