Both of them still get all bashful and awkward whenever that possibility is even hinted at.
It's like ripping off a bandage. Get it over with quickly so the pain ends.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Plus, I dont think thats true. How could one have any less time than one can hold one's breath (about 2 mins)?
"We learn from history that we do not learn from history."You cannot hold your breath in a vacuum. Differential pressure will override muscular control of your lungs without protective gear.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Ahh.
"We learn from history that we do not learn from history."Clearly, the solution is to invent the atmospheric re-entry parachute.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.Boy, she's trying her best to keep it lighthearted, isnt she?
"We learn from history that we do not learn from history."Hey, the outdoor shower stall is still there!
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.I noticed that too.
Per Mark on the FF forum, it was that or the outhouse for a recognizable landmark.
(And yeah, the hurricane should've blown it all down when it passed through where the ship was parked. Shush. )
All your safe space are belong to TrumpI know Winston is kidding. I don't think anyone needs to tell him about the reasons why human-canid procreation is impossible even with the best genetic engineering support...
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Having lived through more than my fair share of hurricanes (I used to live in Florida, and nearly my whole life has been spent on the east coast, so I've walked through a few that drifted further north), it's completely believable that the shower stall would still be standing after one, particularly if its construction gave it a bit of flexibility (also, presuming the eye of the hurricane - or more importantly, the walls of the eye - didn't directly pass over it). After all, while it was powerful enough to partly destroy the sign to Winston's clinic, the sign was mostly still standing. My take on said hurricane was that it was around a Category 2 - certainly some level of destruction and risk, but it's not going to just ruin everything it passes over.
As for Florence's assertion in the last panel, yup. Just ask Dr. Bowman (via email, preferably). Hell, you should have seen my mom's reaction when I got kittens (which would have been the same as if I had gotten a puppy). Everyone loves grandpuppies, even if they aren't genetically uplifted.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.Yeah, but have the really discussed the possibility of a lifelong commitment yet? Are they getting married?
"We learn from history that we do not learn from history."I don't recall. But I guess it must be usual that if someone enters a relationship, their parents (especially the mother) immediately starts looking forward to kids.
The universe is under no obligation to make sense to us.I was 18 when my mom first discussed potential future grandchildren with my then-girlfriend. Yes, I eventually married her, but said future grandchild happened when I was 33. So yes, some parents get on that fast.
That said, keep in mind that Flo and Winston have discussed the issue between themselves already. It's not at all surprising that they are thus anticipating discussing it with others as well.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.Yes, but they wouldn't be grandpuppies. Unless they considered adopting some of the next batch of Bowman's wolves? They might have brought that up, I don't remember. Either that, or Florence would call any child of her a "puppy" regardless of actual species.

Worldbuilding is fun, writing is a choreFlo has sperm samples of other Bowman wolves on hand for species-propagating purposes. And Dr. Bowman has more too. So yeah, she would have puppies, and they would be hers, just not genetically Winston's. Similar cases probably have some terminology IRL already, given cases of male impotence but idk what it'd be.
Though Bowman also has offered fetuses or ovums that aren't genetically related to her in order to boost species diversity, so she may get some more purely fostery puppies too.

Cabin Feverology is not an exact science◊.
What, no suggestion to share the room and keep him distracted?
