What the sum increased by an insane amount? Who could have seen that coming? See this very situation makes me think that Houzuki is just an asshole stealth mentor. Now if they get dicked over again then I'm going to lean more towards the asshole than mentor.

Yes, but the pills are making it much much harder for her to break out of her funk. They are doing the opposite of what their intended purpose is, unless their purpose is to keep people from recovering. Then it's doing its job admirably.

Well, you need to keep in mind what Houzuki's goal is.

With the information I have available to me as of right now I'd say it is to make Kenichi a First Class Individual, but I wouldn't be shocked if he has another motive.

It's just something to keep in mind. What does he want and what is he willing to do to achieve it?

I choose to think that despite the blatant setup that that wasn't a dream in Touka's epilogue. Even though it doesn't really make sense for it to really happen.

Touka's epilogue in general is kinda weak. Ririko's was better even if I thought she was being a jerk.

Okay, the dream sequence in Sachi's route annoys me. Did not need a threesome. Especially since Mana is probably at most 15 there and looks younger.

And I'm skipping Natsumi's epilogue entirely because I don't like her.

Oh god. Tsundere Houzuki. And just as I was thinking this prequel thingy had no humor.

With all the power and influence the man has it's not inconceivable that he wants the country itself. Going back to what Kenichi was talking about earlier. I don't have evidence one way or the other so far as that goes.

That's my problem right now there's a lot of guessing, but not much of anything else I can do. Unless the clues are very cleverly hidden but in obvious places and I'm going to be face palming that I missed them.

Maybe there are clues and maybe there aren't. Houzuki is intentionally difficult to read since he wouldn't want anyone knowing what he was thinking.

Saika Mina is what Natsumi should have been. Sigh.

And now I have Skyward Sword and this game is being put on hold for a bit.

I've yet to complete Skyward Sword myself. Still haven't gotten to the dungeon after the Ancient Cistern.

Also, Houzuki Ari is a great character. And she made me realize that Houzuki was going easy on Kenichi.

Ken and Ririko already being alive by this point is weird. I could accept a newborn Ririko, but she's apparently already walking and talking.

Yes, the threesome scene was... rather disturbing actually.

Wait, it was supposed to be a surprise that she was asking for shit for the baby? Sigh, that was supposed to be a touching scene and it just came off as weak.

Pretty meh on the Houzuki chapter. It had some funny moments, but fridge logic kind of wrecks it and the ending was sappy.

And Eri's sidestory seems pointless. The omake makes up for it though. Kinda.

You know, for Sharin no Kuni itself rather than the fandisc, does anyone think that Ririko probably would have made more sense as the main heroine? I know she isn't, but since she's Kenichi's actual motivation you would think that counts for something at least.

I can get behind that idea. She's more interesting than Natsumi, at least.

Going through Touka's fandisk epilogue in mostly-fast-forward mode. Don't really like her all that much. Looks like Natsumi has a new character sprite though.

Started the fandisc for a bit. Wow, Ari Ruriant is so deliciously evil that she doesn't even bother trying to hide it. Awesome.

No idea what you're talking about. Higuchi said she's just a moe character!

Houzuki actually laughing — Oh god. My sides. I love how he's always so deadpan. Mina is awesome, too. Why wasn't Natsumi this fun? .__.

^ Good question. Asked myself that earlier. Houzuki laughing is the point where I really started enjoying the side story. Events like that and Ari being Ari are really what made the story fun.

Finished Masaomi's chapter. What the fuck is this upbeat music, man?! That was really depressing shit and what is this weird poppy music?!

Maybe I'm just a sentimental sap, but Masaomi's chapter was great. Couldn't have asked for a better presentation of Houzuki's backstory. As for Mina asking for shit from Ruriant for the baby, I wrote it off as Masaomi's doubts about Mina, and his general inability to perceive "sensitivity", as he puts it. It was in-character for him.

I guess it was in character for him, but the story tried to act like it was supposed to be surprising to us as well.

I didn't really like the epilogue part of that. Also, I can see why they initially only translated the Houzuki chapter: The girl's epilogues are pretty crappy.

Doing Sachi's epilogue because favorite heroine. Yeah. Might as well finish everything else. I doubt anything else will hold up to Houzuki's chapter though.

Hers was okay. I read them all except Natsumi's and hers was probably the best, though my actual favorite heroine's at least started funny.

...Somehow or another I broke the VN during the time I wasn't playing it, or I had to do some trick to get it working that I can't remember.

Ugh looks like I'm going to have to reinstall it. I hope my saved data doesn't get lost too.

Just copy the save file somewhere else and move it back in later.
