I'm getting this for Christmas, I know that much.

I didn't like the route they took the series down after Hot Pursuit 2. Not a fan of the import tuner scene. I'm already excited about the return to exotic supercars.

Multiplayer in which you can be a cop instead of a racer. Legal race griefing. :)

HP2 for PS 2 had that, only that it was strictly two players.

Of course, one was the cop, the other was the racer, so... Yeah.

Er, two players in which one guy is racing isn't a race. tongue

Well, the one was supposed to be trying to escape, so I guess it could be seen as a kind of "time trial under fire", I guess.

Kinda like Split/Second's "Detonator" mode, in a sense.

I'm a little weary of new NFS games, Shift ruined the series...But...This looks pretty fuggin' Badass!

There's Hot Pursuit (which I classify Undercover as one of), and the rest.

Nononono.

Undercover is NOT HP.

Hell, Most Wanted is closer to Hot pursuit, Than Undercover is.

O Ops. I meant Most Wanted, not Undercover. My bad.

Oh no, you didn't. While the physics of Shift are a little wonky, post-mods on the PC, it's one of the best racing simulators you can buy.

I seem to be to only person with a number of opinions that nobody else shares, in this case, I like the tuners and the exotics, and I like how they were put together (kinda) in Carbon.

Yeah, but the thing is... people will buy Forza 3 and GT 5 for that. Need For Speed means high speed arcadish racing.

Which is funny because the original Car & Driver: Need for Speed was completely a sim.

I'm a keen plaayer of Forza Motorsport 3, and using my example of Carbon, I think that was completely different to FM/GT

I do think from a gameplay video I just watched, it looks a bit like Burnout 3, but with much more difficult takedowns, powers and cops. (Which is a good thing,)

Well, maybe I'll like this, since I liked Most Wanted. The absence of customization kinda puts me off (I LIKE MY CARS PIMPED OUT), but whatever.

The abscence of customisation kinda puts me off

Don't worry, they've green-lighted Shift 2!
