The part where you talk with your own brain is def a highlight.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Especially if your Courier is dumber than a box of rocks, or worse, is twisted enough to hit on their own brain (or even worse still, both).
If Dead Money had better gameplay, it'd be right up there, too.
Those explosive radios were pretty annoying but they did add some tension to the gameplay.
In OWB, you can actually flirt with your own brain. The results are hilarious.
At first I preferred OWB over Dead Money but now I've flipped. OWB's zany humour distracts from the fact the game is a slog (bullet sponges, spawn points, repetitive "quests"). DM's ending is the first time I had an emotional reaction to a video game. The indestructible radios are a pain and I still get lost in the villa despite me playing this game at least once a year.
Remember: you're not a True Gamer™ unless you walk out of that vault with every last gold brick in your pockets.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult. The fact OWB is just a slog elevates it way higher because that's something I can play around (and actually enjoy with different characters).
Dead Money is just fuck you parcelled off into a DLC. If you remove all the radios, it's barely better because it's then just a level with minimal equipment variety where you need to keep splatting heads. I've done it that way, too. The environment in the villa does not get more interesting when you're not swearing at the sudden beeping.
At least it's smaller in size than Honest Hearts. That one just feels empty.
Avatar Source*2.I stole the gold, even though I win at the casino, so I didn't really need to steal them.
Everyone sure loves to subvert the moral of that DLC.
Optimism is a duty. They did say a lot of this about letting go.
And I'm letting go of the morals of this DLC.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. It wouldn't have been nearly as popular if the devs hadn't gone to war with the fanbase over it (and lost because they didn't think of removing the statue).

I grabbed one gold bar when I played the DLC. I didn't sell it, I just kept it as a souvenir of the experience in my hideout.

In fact on Reddit, on the Fallout forums, there are people who admit that at that point in the game, they don't really need the money, they're just doing it for the challenge of doing it.
Yeah,t hat's the other thing - the whole setup of the DLC just begs for the challenge of pulling it off.
Optimism is a duty.I tried to play a new game, but after I repaired the radio in the saloon, all the game sounds played at the wrong time, and then when I tried to leave the building, the game froze. Odd.
Optimism is a duty.I never even tried getting the gold in Dead Money. Too bloody heavy, and my save was having issues before the fight with the Elder anyway, so I ignored the bars.
drag a tiny piece of corpse in with you, load the corpse's inventory with all the gold, drag the corpse shard out. E Z
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youEasiest way is to go into sneak by the pillar in front of the door. wait for Elijah to walk by and interact with the computer. If you time it right, you get by before he turns the security on.
How does that move the gold out? Do you mean snail crawl with it all? Isn't there a timer for the external room too?
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youI should've been more specific. Grab all the gold. Go outside, go into sneak by the pillar thing and wait for Elijah
It's also easier if you have the GRX Implant perk.

Oh! Oh dang players are creative lol
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for you
It was certainly one of my favorites. Maybe it was the tone, Maybe it was the variety of cool new weapons and enemies.
