x2 Don't worry, Enel sailing to Moon and getting his new army of Moon Automata is indeed canon.

I assure you, I'm a completely trustworthy person. Here's a link to the wiki page that shows all of it.
I never understood why the anime stopped adapting the cover stories. With the exception of a few, they tend to come back and be relevant in the future, they could easily be inserted as mid-episode snippets, or adapted as filler episodes to help the show's pacing. It just seems stupid not to include them, but they never bothered adapting any past the first two.
Yeah, they already had to make quick ad hoc explanations for things like Hachi and Wapol when they became relevant, and the consequences of some like the Baroque Works one can be assumed pretty easily.
But when it comes the time to explain why Enel is coming from the moon with a robot army, that's gonna feel out of place.

They should just animate all the past cover stories in the form of OVAs.

I hope a remake/kai version of the Anime will adapt the cover stories in the future
Speaking of, I liked the twist that Gotti accidentally saved Lola instead of Chiffon
There isn't an impossible dream, there are only people who give upI feel like the live action show is being set up to be One Piece Kai.
Honestly they should do the omake thing Bleach and Naruto used to do occasionaly at the end of episodes.
Secret SignatureWait, they're still going ahead with that?
Is no one inside Netflix in possession of working braincells?
Sshhhhh!!! At least we are getting the anime on Netflix out of this too!
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here.I don't think so, especially since, for many reasons, the netflix series can't follow faithfully the entire story and therefore will be it's own thing. I also estimate a good 70% chance of not lasting a second season (I hope to be proven wrong and that the series will be amazing)
One Piece is one of those works that simply works at best when animated

There isn't an impossible dream, there are only people who give upIf only whatever sum of money spent on it would be directed to giving One Piece the Hunter x Hunter 2011 treatment.
Imagine, a seasonal anime of One Piece, each season a saga, with the current animator crew working on it.
It only works animated, it's Looney Toones meets Dragon Ball.

Wasn't the live-action show delayed because of the coronavirus? I heard something about that with regards to its lead actor (so, whoever they got to play Luffy).
About the anime's pacing, I think AMVs are the best way to experience the anime.

Looney Toones meets Dragon Ball
Speaking of the casting, the Italian One Piece page One Piece GT (I suppose the sequel to One Piece Z) said they have been following Oda's istructions about the crewmembers origin. They showed the (very likely but not confirmed) actors for Zoro and Usopp, and both appear Japanese and African. Plus, when Netflix published a post asking the fans which actor they'd like for Sanji, they put the french flag
Which means that, whatever the result will be, they are putting some effor into it

There isn't an impossible dream, there are only people who give upThey haven’t even announced casting yet. Just that it’s happening and they’re throwing Game of Thrones levels of cash at it.
I need to get Pirate Warriors 4 when the price goes down. Just take in the Cliff’s Notes from where PW 3 left off.

Okay so which Brazilian actor should ppay Luffy?
Help me out here Gaon, the only one I remember off the top of my head is Wagner Moura.
That's good. Ethnical accuracy is one of the advertised points of the live-action Avatar show they're making, so that combined with One Piece (if they actually follow through) could be a strong point in the favor of those shows and improve Netflix's reputation.

If they stick with that all the way and actually pick a Nigerian actor for Blackbeard then this adaption will have earned my respect.
I still think it should never happen and the results are going to be embarassing at best, but I can respect the effort, if not the wisdom behind it.
Like congratulating a guy who just drank a liter of cooking oil.
Granted, the Page itself say it's not certain. I've checked the articles: for Usopp is someone called Sexyburge on instagram, who added the ashtag #godUsopp in his description and made a post where he says to be excited to play Usopp, nothing certain. For Zoro, there simply Lewis Tan who has expressed interest in playing Zoro

There isn't an impossible dream, there are only people who give upWould you literally eat a crow if by against all expectations, it does turn out to be good?

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Cooked, fried, or raw?
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I would say fried at over 600° C like Oden

There isn't an impossible dream, there are only people who give upOne cooked, one fried and one raw.
And then I'd pick an alive crow, strap it to a chair and eat her eggs right in front of her.
Would you also read the upcoming New Warrior's comic?
The one with the idiots Snowflake, Safespace, & Screentime?
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."
Nah, Enel sailed away on his ship, and even got a cover story way down the line. He landed on the moon, fought space alien pirates, used his lightning to re-power an ancient technological city, and discovered a lot of ancient carvings that depict humans with wings, just like the humans who live on the Sky Islands.
It's generally assumed that will be important lore-wise sometime at the very end of the series, but aside from assuptions, we don't really know what all of it means.
