The fishbone guy isn't Kid. You can see that Luffy and the guards walk by one set of bars and then he gets thrown in a separate cell.

With how pissed Luffy looks I'm chuckling at a scenario where he's salty that Law's Big Plan has led to his capture and half his crew seemingly dead and decides that Kid's going to be his new best friend.

As powerful as Law seemed when he was first introduced at PH, I find it kind of amusing how utterly out of his depth he is now, both in the sense of being left behind strength-wise and his elaborate, well thought out plans never working.

I'm a bit confused about the sea prison stone. If it is only found in Wano and only they know of how to forge it, then why has the World Government so much of it? They have enough to handcuff every Devil Fruit user they can catch, they coat their ships with it to travel across the Calm Belt and they can attach it to their weapons. Wano is an isolationist country and the borders had always been closed, so them trading it is unlikely. Or how is everyone outside of Wanoaware aware of Sea Stone and its effects? You would think that they would be secretive about their resources.

The existence of Sky Island also doesn't make sense, since they are created when an element contained in the Seastone called 'pyrobloin', ejected into the air by volcanic eruptions, comes in contact with water vapor. It doesn't look like there are volcanos in Wano and even if there are, it wouldn't explain how these are all over the world and can have sizes like Skypiea.

Also, why would the people of Wano produce it in the first place? They don't know that Devil Fruits exist, so they wouldn't know about the effect of Sea Prison Stone on them.

But if it originates from Wano, how can it be found in other places? Wano had an extremely strict isolationist policy, since always apparently. So, how did the Sea Stone travel in such large quantities from Wano to all over the world to the point that the World Government can use it to the extent they do and that it creates all these massive sky islands? It was said that it is ejected into the air through volcanic eruptions, which means that there are natural Sea Prison stone resources all over the world, which contradicts the meaning of originates.

And how do does the World Government have access to forged Sea Prison stone, like their hand-cuffs, which only Wano can produce?

I'm guessing the World Government has agents in Wano, or that some Wano citizens managed to come into contact with them and work for them. Or the World Government managed to kidnap some craftsmen and forced them to refine the stones.

Lots of possibilities. I doubt the WG has literally zero presence in Wano. Surely they've infiltrated the country before, even Kizaru was ready to go before Akainu stopped him.

isn't the idea that Seastone forging originated in Wano, thus them being better at it?

This would explain how the World Government got their hands on it, though unless there is any indication that actually happened, I think for now it is a plot hole. It still wouldn't explain the existence of huge Sky Islands all over the world.

He said that only Wano smiths can refine seastone into small pieces.

The technique for crafting seastone is common-ish knowledge, but only the experts in Wano can do the level 2 stuff.

Incidentally, this also answers the old, "Why don't they just forge seastone bullets?" question that gets asked a lot.

It's no wonder Wano and the Revere is closely tied together, because events are revealing more and more facts about the world than ever before.

Also love Robin's face. It was so hilarious.

I think it was once stated that sea stone is a naturally occurring resource instead of something that has to be crafted. It also wouldn't make sense how Sky Islands exist otheriwse. Sea Clouds, as well as Island Clouds, are created when an element contained in the Seastone called 'pyrobloin', ejected into the air by volcanic eruptions, comes in contact with water vapor.

Poor choice of words. "Refining" seastone would be more appropriate.

Still doesn't explain the existence of Sky Islands all over the world when the Sea Stone is only naturally occurring in Wano.

So it has been about 100 pages of this thread since I stopped following the series. A brief check of its wiki's arc synopsis tells me that:

  • Reverie was only a partial arc, mostly with a little world building about the true leader of the world
  • Wano is currently ongoing, and Zoro's about to get a new sword
  • Jinbe still hasn't reappeared yet
  • The revolutionaries are about to rescue Kuma from slavery and declare war
  • Luffy's allies met up (I actually read this chapter)

Anything else important that I missed?

I mean, that kind of depends on what you think of as important. Like, we found out that Kaidou is a Dragon Zoan, and that the Samurai that've been hanging around for the past few arcs are actually time travellers from a few decades ago, and...

That's all I got. Wano hasn't been a particularly interesting arc so far.

Hmm... What if there's an "only backwards" time travel ability?

Some people think we'll cut back to Reverie - the first day of Reverie and first day of Wano took place simultaneously, and now we're on the second day of Wano.

Naturally occurring seastone appears all over the world. Techniques for refining seastone into metal originated in Wano and eventually spread to the World Governement. Techniques for refining seastone into small but still potent shapes are known exclusively by Wano craftsmen.

I don't think that will happen, but I would welcome it for sure. Reverie is infinitely more interesting than Wano. Though I wasn't a big fan of the IM-sama reveal. Not because of the character themself, but because the empty chair was just another sham of the world government. Yes, it was obvious that someone would sit on the chair, but it would have been nice to see that the government for once actually stands behind the ideals they preach. Which is my biggest and only criticism with the Void Century so far. It makes the world government look more and more corrupt and doesn't even try to give them a justifable reason for their crimes. Though I really hope that this will change once the actual story gets told and that we get more gray, even if it is unlikely.

Hawkins said that Sea Stone itself originates from Wano. Not just the crafting. So it should only naturally occur in Wano.

Either it's a retcon, or you're taking one line in a fan translation way too literally. Either way, it is perfectly clear what Hawkins meant: Seastone smithing techniques originated in Wano, and Wano craftsmen have techniques to make smaller and finer seastone tools than craftsmen elsewhere in the world.
