By the by, another rule of Knox's Decalogue: "No Chinaman must figure in the story."

This rule exists more to try to get rid of racist trends but if you're trying to write a mystery story in China or some-such, this would be pretty hard to adhere to, wouldn't it?

Honestly, the Decalogue has, well, I wouldn't say "fallen out of favor" but many of the rules it had tend to be tossed aside.

Edit: ...Which is more annoying, the random encounter rate or the random pagetopper rate?

There isn't one. Thats the main issue.

The encounter rate in P2 really wasnt the problem... it was the amount of menus you needed to go through per turn and the amount of turns per battle to complete the thing.

It had more menus than a Paradox game.

P1's battle system just kind of dragged.

Although the Phantom Thieves might be considered terrorists from a certain perspective.

Nope, she is the best party member in Persona 3.

Also I am two years older than her, apparently. And the people from Persona 2 must be like, dead by now they'd be so old.

Persona 2's characters were 18 in 1999, so they should be around 40 now. Persona 1's characters were 2-3 years older.

Mitsuru having a birthday right before mine and being only two years older than me means she's officially my wife :V

Birthdays are not that big of a deal in Japan. Your love interest though should have had an event though.

For me the biggest surprise was that Kasumi is younger than Futaba.
