There is a chapter this week whether there's a hiatus next month (May) is unknown.
It's a good troll regardless of intent since people are really, really salty.
Art is fantastic in this chapter though. Miura is definitely back into the swing of things art-wise.
I'm surprised at how excited I am for the content in this chapter. I kind of hope we stick with it a bit so we can see a greater variety of Astral creatures.
Boring chapter but one pretty interesting detail: it doesn't seem like there's been a Time Skip in the "real" world yet.
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."…The aesthetic sense of this series' villains is something that never fails to amaze me. I wonder what's up with all this, though. Why would Griffith go out to fight a bunch of monsters that probably aren't a threat to his kingdom? I doubt there are many human survivors outside of the walls.

Possibly he's just eliminating any threats to his kingdom, no matter how small they might be.
Never underestimate a villain with good publicity
PSN ID: FateSeraph Congratulations! She/TheyThere are just soooooooo many Weinstein Effect/Me Too references you can make with Griffith, aren't there?

Even if the heroes could defeat Griffith, they'd need to expose him first or else they'll be the bad guys as far as the world is concerned. I wonder how that could happen, though?
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."That's the thing, I'm not really convinced they will expose him. Guts and co. dying while only a few they helped have an inkling of the truth is a very plausible ending.
I note that Miura starts to build a Sonia's betrayal since her enconter with Schirke on volume 29 .
and now Schierke knows about the rape trough the corridor of dreams,is possible Schierke chained his mind with Sonia's and them she project to the people's mind .
Miura did say he wanted a "non-grim" ending, and in the same statement said he's unlikely to kill Guts. That of course doesn't mean it'll be straight-up happy, but I expect the bad guys will be dead at least.
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."Miura's comment I take on Skullknight forum :
''I've finished my manuscripts. Now I'll go watch Pacific Rim!!"
That means we will have another chapter soon,I hope that at least he ends volume 40 before another hiatus . (I will hope for no hiatus until the end of the manga but still...)
Huh Miura's watching Pacific Rim?
Someone should make to sure to tell him not to watch its sequel Uprising.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."They will need some big proof to get people turn against Griffith.
On the subject of Apostles, here's something I've always wondered but don't expect to ever get an answer to: who or what did Wyald sacrifice in order to become an Apostle?

Since his original form was an old man, he likely sacrificed his family that would have been caring for him.
So there's this rather creepy theory going around about Moonboy. He's not Guts and Casca's son. He's Griffith, taking their son's form to get them to lower their guards and lead him to Elfheim, so his forces can attack it.
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."I've more commonly seen a variation of that theory where the moon boy is an incarnation of Griffith, but it's not something he has direct control over, and is an unintended side effect of using Guts and Caska's baby as the basis for his new body.
As in the part of him that wishes he hadn't completely and irrevocably shattered their friendship?
Disgusted, but not surprisedThat would be interesting, but I don't think Griffith has anything like that anymore. It's more like Guts and Caska's child (which was corrupted during the Eclipse) still maintained a part of himself even after Griffith took his body, and he comes out every once in a while during the full moon as the Moonlight Boy, which Griffith isn't aware of. Or at least that's the theory.

So there was apparently a new chapter that came out not long ago. It's mostly inconsequential though since it's just the end of the fight between Griffith's army and the random monsters.
Meh.
There's a theory going around that Miura's essentially stalling for time to make sure he gets Guts and Casca's reunion juuuuuuuuuuuust right.

…Oh, so there's no hiatus?
