Look at Vorpal. He knew what was written there, but to answer it would mean having to deny his sense of self identity. She knew it too. But all she had to say is "Sorry, rules say you die now."
It's a case of To Be Lawful or Good and she tries to do the lawful thing even if it sucks.

The angel seems to be coming up with the questions herself. If she’s supposed to be super lawful good, it doesn’t really track that she’d be coming up with trick questions to get mortals killed.
