Tats doesn't seem to realise that he's basically drawing himself and his fellow radfems without pants on.

Recall a year or so ago when the sex workers were liberated by the fall of Pimptron, one of the girls stayed because she said she liked it. Tats portrayed her as turning into a fembot.

But now fembots are out, I think because the parallels with trans people are too obvious.

So Tats needed a new metaphor/allegory/stand-in for women who have been fooled into thinking they're happy without being radfems ... thus the zombie girl.

Tat just doesn't follow logic, so you have to go by what you know his fanaticism wants to state. What he is basically saying is that it doesn't matter if you buy into the patriarchy hook, line, and sinker: there will be no special treatment. It's the fear tactic of a prophet who wants to bang the women in his congregation.

Essentially, the woman is a zombie, meaning that she has ALREADY turned. So she is fully, what Tats describes as, an ideal woman in a patriarchal society (insert eye roll and scoff here). She pays for food by stripping (of course; typical normal behavior; thank you for that stunning insight, Tatsuya) but he also wants to show that if you believe in the patriarchy you are not allowed to have nice things. Basically, he just wanted to say that submission does not lead to preferential treatment. Those darn men are going to destroy your cupcakes. Curses! Our plot has been revealed again by Tatsuya's STUNNING intellect.

SO. Bringing that up. He wisely chickened out, but do you all remember the comic where he had women in chains with the pimp riding a horse? There was a very "Django Unchained" kind of feel to it, if you all remember... He was GOING to insinuate that women now have it worse than African American slaves back then.

Even HE was able to talk himself back from the crazy ledge before he made that jump.

I was going to answer that the zombie girl is supposed to be a sex worker, and not specifically a non-radfem woman, but actually I'm not sure about that.

Have we seen any of the Handmaids doing something that looks like sex work? Are they really prostitutes?

So far, the only work that Pimps have made them do, was praising disgusting transgender zombies for being "beautiful". I don't remember the girls having sex with them in any of the previous strips...

This is (again!) a really confusing metaphor and I'm not sure what it's supposed to mean.

It could be that the Handmaids don't necessarily represent sex workers (or at least, they are not limited to this particular metaphor): they represent women who are tolerant to transgender people and especially trans women - which means they're either coerced or brainwashed by the Patriarchy (because a sane, free woman would necessarily reject these enemies of the feminist cause).

If it's the case, it means that Tats is becoming crazier and crazier with every passing day...

This one was a pretty funny joke. Doing poorly financially clearly has allowed Tats to find his sense of humour back.

So that's how we get classic Sinfest back! We just have to ruin Tats' finances!

By the way, the joke seems to be that the glasses just block out the critics, not the criticism, since the speech symbols are still visible.

It is truly the former, unfortunately (but not unfortunately for those who love a good train wreck). We did see the Handmaidens offer sexual services (or at least it was heavily implied) with the disassociation arc.

You know what's even MORE jacked up? What if Tatsuya is saying that even being ACCEPTING of another person's choices and beliefs that don't line up with radfem LEADS to you becoming a prostitute?

What if he means to portray the handmaidens as being accepting toward transgenders as a way to appease their feelings leads to them wanting to appease other people and the feelings of men? What if he is trying to say that even the act of allowing someone to believe they are trans is a slippery slope to becoming an unwilling pawn of the patriarchy?

And yes. I do believe that is EXACTLY what Tatsuya is saying.

I don't know if you are being sarcastic or not. The strip really wasn't even funny. Sinfest will never go back to being what it was. The damage is already done. It's just a derailed freight train. Which is good for the 400 people who still read it unironically because they want a radfem version of Chick Tracts. There's no changing course; just surging violently and uncontrollably forward past whatever happens to be in its way: be it his finances or whatever little dignity he has left.

Well, the actual blue photons do bounce off the glasses, so the actual light that reaches your eyes is actually more yellow.

3x Arguing with Tat is like arguing with a three year old it seems. It's like when you are playing a game with a kid and they don't want to lose so they start making up new rules as they go.

And that is also true! Raleigh scattering is actually why the sky is blue because the blue spectrum of light is absorbed by nitrogen while the red spectrum passes through. Same principle applies to material that reflects a certain part of the spectrum.

Just as in Tats' universe objects really do get physically smaller the farther away from you they are.
