Trump's persecution of trans people is at the urging of Pence, and about pandering to his Evangelical base, a major part of his support. Again, this is another point where Radical Feminism and the Religious Right find common ground as the strangest of bedfellows. It was bizarre back in the 80s seeing the two groups unite against pornography. Lesbian Feminists meeting with men who probably thought they should be stoned to death.

Trump is a sociopath who really has no moral compass or empathy. He'd toss puppies into a wood chipper on the White House lawn if he thought it pleased his base - and it probably would. Much of Trumpism is about cruelty, not ideology.

Getting back to what Sinfest has become, Tats seems to inhabit an increasingly tiny world as time goes by. The US has actual for-profit concentration camps, with children in cages, while Tats pokes lightly at Trump's bad hair and spray tan, quibbling about gender issues.

FDR and Hitler were both politicians. FDR wasn't perfect, but there's a bit of a difference. Trump's not just a politician. There's nothing normal here.

It always kind of feels like people try to bring up horseshoe theory to somehow make the far left somehow magically become right-wing because for some reason they can't come to terms that bigots can exist on their side of the fence.

Therefore, because they won't accept them they demonize them as "right" even though everything else about them is left wing.

I think that having the drones be defeated by knitting might make the drones the weakest threats ever written in fiction.

Tats might as well replace the drones with Swiper from Dora the Explorer and their threat would go up with 1000%.

Ah, as you wrote that I think I can guess what is going to happen. Whoever carries the cupcakes is going to have that Wiccan protection about them. They are probably going to give the cupcakes to Li'l E to eat. I imagine someone else will eat the cupcakes and HIGH-larious hijinks will ensue.

There might actually be some funny jokes in the immediate future...but I still suspect it is only that because Tat is trying to stem the Patreon bleeding.

I thought he was financially secure and maybe he was, but maybe he hasn't been getting as many views to his page and the advertisers pulled funding a bit making the Patreon more of a necessity?

Looking at it that way, it makes sense why he's playing it safe on the website but being out and open about what he really thinks on Spinster.

Huh. I just noticed ... The standard, Illuminati-type eyebot drones have devious-looking half-circle eyes. The new, spectrum-colored eyebot drones have round, fully woke eyes.

Not completely. In the previous strip in the sixth panel the drones have "evil" eyes, then when they get tangled in the nets they get big eyes. Even in the fourth panel, when they are seen on profile, they seem to me to have narrow eyes.

A few strips back (here: https://www.sinfest.net/view.php?date=2019-09-28 ) they show that they can change their eye shape.

Remember when Tats literally put Liberty in a coma after Donnie won the election? That was before both him AND Tats started campaigning against trans people. Fast-forward to current strips, where Sinfest’s satire of the current President of the US amounts to “LE TINY HANDS XD”.

Was fun, back in the day. Not really fun for the past eight years, though.

Sinfest used to be (at least in my opinion) one of the best webcomics around if not directly the best. Back then it could deal with really deep stuff in a very human way, AND also make it funny. Then it went from being deep to going down the deep end...

I'm honestly not even sure what we're still doing here sometimes.
