I interpret this business with the wand as Chekhov's Gun, Act I. Before the gun can be used in Act III, the author has to let the audience know that it's there.

(or so), sorry for being late to the party, but... let's start by saying that, while I'm not sure if Tatsuya IS a genious, what I know he is is a great storyteller. Sinfest at its peak was one of the best webcomics around. The thing is that Tats decided to sacrifice all that to push a narrative that has gotten more and more twisted the more the webcomic advances. But the talent was there and I'm willing to bet it's still there.

Also on the genius tested thing - keep in mind what IQ actually means. It's how smart you are relative to average of your age. If you rise early and plateau, age is going to catch up and drag it down to banal 100.

I still wonder why Nana aged normally while her sister and friend didn't.

I think it is because of fountain of youth. It appeared on this comic.

More likely that Hekate engages in a horrifying ritual every full moon to restore her youth. It involves ripping the still-beating hearts of six unsuspecting men out of their chests, cutting them up into tiny pieces, and making haggis.

A wand? Really? Since when has any character in this strip shown they've needed a conduit through which to channel their magicks?

Although I'm too lazy to find an example, I'm pretty sure the girls used wands at the Hogwarts ripoff Witch Academy.

Dear god in heaven, I've run out of padding jokes. Tats has padded his storylines so many times that I now need to pad out my jokes about padding!

Tats is trying to exorcise the spirit of radical feminism. He's trying to break free from its taint!

Lets see now, Time for a brief recap of the story so far & more importantly....Where are the players now?

Hekate is hiding in the forest pretending that shagging Satan behind Lilith's back and getting pregnant never happenned and all the many consequences thereof are NOT. HER. PROBLEM.(cough FAULT you cowardly failed mantrapper cough)

Nana Justice is locked and loaded, out on the mean streets of Festerville, ready to kick ass and chew bubblegum because her kid sister has hidden herself in the forest and dumped the problem on her via ravengram

Seymour is trying to exorcise Lilith from Lily's house (which gets bigger every time I see it)

Vain Glorious is running around a cave in Hell having a hissy fit and trying to look tough for an army which has been standing still for so long they've all got rigor mortis. Once someone tells him Lily is Satan's legitimate son he'll detonate

Lilith is locked in what looks like a post-death event loop and could turn up anywhere especially since Seymour is trying to release her from said loop

Satan is at home with the Devilkin family, probably praying to God that Tange isn't Lily's first girlfriend and regretting showing her the armory

Tange is probably in the basement with a flamethrower barbecuing lost souls and wondering why Satan asked her to respect Lily's personal space more...A LOT more

Lily is happy to finally meet his father and doesn't understand why Satan is talking about fireproofing the curtains, furniture and how he should always think of Tange as his big stepsister

Blue is glad Satan is not looking for Fuschia and probably thinks Tange is a)On fire and reminds her strongly of Fuschia and; b) "Really on fire, oh no, where are the extinguishers? This woman's an idiot. Perhaps we shouldn't have let her in the armory"

Absinthe is happy just to exist as a friend to Lily and Tange. Hopefully a neuron might fire in her miniscule brain and realise that the current narrative doesn't need yet another character such as Monique being sneaked into the mansion

At this stage, all these characters have a logical part to play and the newspaper strip forum is really starting to creak from the sheer size of the plot and number of active characters. Or it could be bursting at the seams from the limits of the format

My prediction? Seymour manages to break Lilith's post death loop, she goes charging off after Lily and everything goes to Hell in a handbasket as we find out what a colossal and jealous bitch Hekate became after Lily was born

As much as I like current Seymour, I just really don't know when Tats is going to get to the main story.

Pretty sure the exorcism attempt is important to the story. Blame the format for chopping things up into short strips

I WISH he was trying to exorcise the spirit of rad feminism. His Spinster account is full of cringey attempts to prove his fem mettle while also promoting his comic.

While he isn't knocking trans on the comic anymore, he is doing it pretty openly on his Spinster. So, he at least understands to try and be more covert about his crazy. But it's still there, waiting until his Patreon is replete with donors...which is slowly yet steadily increasing.

Never says sorry. That's because he isn't. But the fact that he's not verbally harassing those who aren't his brand of woke doesn't mean he thinks they are any less stupid.

But to be fair, maybe most of his patrons are hard core rad fems. I sincerely hope there isn't a substantial amount of donors that are supporting him, hoping that Tatsuya "sees the light."

His shameless plugs and his desperate pleas to be accepted as an ally show that he is on a mission to earn repentance for SOMETHING or to earn their praise. There is no turning back. He's at the point of groveling. Quite frankly it's embarrassing.

I would be amazed if Patreons were returning just because he is keeping his ranting against transsexuals to a minimum for a couple of weeks. The last "covert" time was on the 2nd of August. The last zombie straw comic was three days before that. Perhaps he's managing to draw in some new people through Spinster?

And I agree Tats isn't sorry at all. He's just pouring some bile into the Spinster posts for now, when that turns out not to give him anything he'll be back at crusading in his comic fulltime.

Frankly if his Patreons are so naive to think he's changed his ways so it's safe to come back Tats might be right in thinking his audience is comprised of idiots.

I do think it's not a recovery of old patrons, but an influx of new radfem ones.

After looking at his Spinster posts, I do believe you are correct. And the posts sort of have an air of desperation about them: "Look! Look! I'm one of you!"

My other prediction is that Blue ends up both fancying and seducing Tange: - she's basically a stupid version of Fuschia at this point and I'm guessing Blue's still in love with Fuschia...

At least he's using it as a channel to vent his spleen instead of webcomicing it all over the place. Wish he'd try being less unpleasent for a change

This is the most active some of these characters have been in a while, so I won't complain. But I'm still expecting a three engine trainwreck to appear at the end.
