We're getting rather deep into the rabbit hole of wild speculation, here.

Oh yeah, don't worry, I know it's pure speculation. One can only speculate when you don't know someone and have to guess at their motives. For all we know, This could be one massive trolling. Or Tat could actually be a pretty likeable and chill guy. Part of the fun is the speculation. For me anyway. :P

I did ask everyone if I was out of bounds. I know it was speculation. I just was curious if anyone had the same opinion, I guess.

I am a bit surprised. The arm that yanked him is Theo's, not Miko's. For once a boy was the active agent.

I was thinking more like turn the van around and Chase after them in that, but that works too. ^_^ Definitely more young reader friendly.

Not sure why he can see them as Zombies and Theo can't. I don't think Tat will bother to explain right away if at all. But still, there you go! Way to keep the suspense rolling!

And yes, it is surprising to see a boy actually doing something instead of being acted upon.

Also, Hexopedia, I did suspect the daughter angle in the past. In fact, I theorized at one point that that he did the strip and then retired to do something else and passed the reigns to his daughter or something like that. I thought that because his style isn't as good as it used to be in the older strips. There was a lot more attention to detail, even in the lettering. The style changed fairly dramatically (granted it was probably due to putting out the strips faster), but it had me wondering.

I think our current hypotheses are pretty close though.

Actually, looking around the 2015 period He had GREAT artwork then as well. It looked like he did backgrounds by hand instead of copy and paste. It's a shame.

It became impossible for me to take any of this seriously as soon as Tats introduced the term "gender zombies".

At that point I knew Tats wasn't going to put any more thought or effort into the storyline.

The only bright side I still see is that if they were to be recaptured Tats has to go through the minefield of trying to draw a "girl camp" that doesn't scare too many of his Patreon followers away, yet still propagandises his particular brand of radical feminism.

Gibson35, do we know that Kevin sees them as Zombies? He might simply be surprised to see them as he comes out of his fugue, or as he recovers from a fall that made him go SPLAT!

Also, i you look in the first panel between Theo and Kevin, you can see the van is further own the road and the driver's door is opening. So they might not be in immediate danger. Kevin isn't facing the van in either the first or last panel, so he might not be looking at the Johnbie.

Y'know, I feel kinda stupid putting this much effort into analyzing a comic that's gone to shit the way Sinfest has. Perhaps it's time for me to get a life. I wonder what that's like?

I don't know if anyone here remembers the "Free To Be You and Me" album, but a lot of this storyline reminds me of the "Girl Land" song. Looking at the lyrics now with adult eyes I can see the lyrics "Go in a girl and come out a lady" meant a place that taught and enforced proper gender roles. Listening to it as a kid it was the scariest song on the record because to that child's ears it described a nightmarish world where anyone who got caught there was physically transformed.

We've seen Fangirl taking them out by the boatload. They are slow and stupid. Useless and non-threatening.

This fight is over long before it started. Why should the audience care what happens next?

I think I may have discovered Tatsuya Ishida's inspiration for the "Gender Camp" arc!

In 2017 and 2018, posters advertising "MAN LESSONS" and "WOMAN LESSONS" started appearing in the Los Angeles area. They — and others even more bizarre — were the work of gonzo performance artist Alan Wagner.

It seems very plausible to me that Tats (who lives in the greater Los Angeles area) saw or heard about these and riffed on the idea.

Interesting. What's a gonzo artist? And what did Wagner intend with it?

"Gonzo" is slang for "person who believes or does weird or crazy things."

Why does he do it? Beats me! But I find it amusing that he does them.

Tats took the bait hard.

The woman in that poster looks like she's going to be teaching your daughter how to wrestle. I'm okay with this.

Also, the use of "pink" as a verb amuses me.

I actually feel a sense of physical relief such a terrible arc has (hopefully) came to an end

P.S. For once, I feel that Tats copping out of difficult writing (an impending chase scene) is good. This "story" arc has sucked hard than a black hole
