@Dragon573: So... anyone else kind of wondering if this is going to have actual consequences or if it's going to amount to a whole lot of nothing?
I pick Door Number Two.
I do like the background artwork in this one. But Amber looks a bit cross-eyed to me. Or is he trying to draw her with Asian features now?
I wonder whether Tats works in color or monochrome on the daily strips?
My best bet is nothing controversal will happen, at best she gets an assignment. If she gets fired, then genuine conflict may occur and tats has never resolved a single genuine conflict in years. Especially when that conflict is political. Likewise, a slap on the wrist would weaken the argument of women struggles in the patriarchy. Something radical feminist, aka his audience, would not approve of.

I want to see how this is ends up for Amber.
Elsewhere people have speculated that Amber — foreshadowed by her name — is about to get BOM Fed into being a devil girl. If so, it might turn out to be a heavy-handed allegory for "any cooperation with the Patriarchy will corrupt you."

So how long are you gonna drag this one out Tats?
As long as he humanly can.
Just cut to the chase, Tats, this will be anticlimatic as heck in the end.
You know that question is purely rhetorical; Blue knows Amber did something wrong and most likely what it was. Too bad I can't get any sense of anticipation, what with the fact that, so long as a character is female, they are immune to any real consequences.
Even more interesting is that Amber knows exactly what she did wrong and why she should be in trouble.
It's probably going to be a huge fake out anyway, but Amber has all the reason to expect punishment and is acting like a normal human being about it.
So far Tats is getting things right for once!
So what DID Amber do wrong again? Its been such a long time I'm not even sure who she is again.
Optimism is a duty.Sisterhood hacked the tv. D man said "hey, shut that down." Amber said "in a minute."
It's kind of funny. Sufficiently advanced stupidity is like sufficiently advanced science; eventually, you find something you can't solve."Miss Amber?" "Sir?" "Do you know what you did?" "I... I didn't turn off the transmitter when you told me to." "Exactly. And now, any wake or wake-simpathizer, so to speak, sees sex-active males as 'Johnbies', and attacks them on sight. Things are going to go steadily downhill, with deaths aplenty, and the sisterhood - and you - will be sharing the blame." "That's horrible!" "No, miss Amber. That's Wrath. One of the seven sins. And I'm the Devil. Now, I do believe you're overdue for a raise..."
Platypi hold the secret to happiness.I feel like her sin would be Sloth in that scenario, since she just sort of said "fuck it" and sat around with popcorn.

...except for Clio and Xanthe - their sin is pride. They KNOW, and everyone who disagrees is not even considered.

Few more of this, and I'll have a comfy mattress.
Except Violent Violet is definitely wrath. Wrath at anything not female, and then not anything woke. If you can pull a weapon on Buddha, you have problems.
Raising once again the question: "Why does Tats portray his "good" characters as such flaming assholes?"
I see three possibilities (with the second and third being most likely at this point:
- At some point the entire comic might make a Heel-Face Turn.
- Tats is so involved with radfem stuff that he actually believes his characters are wonderful and his readers should all emulate them.
- Somebody Else is so involved with radfem stuff that she actually believes Tats' characters are wonderful and his readers should all emulate them, and Tats is sucking up to her.
Just like the Vegan Artbook author, he makes his characters unintentionally unlikable that he finds their negative traits to be positives.
Also this comic is just padding.
+1 on the glorifying of negative traits as positive ones. I think it's pretty much impossible to hate an entire gender and look like a positive person for doing it.
If the point of the comic is making me like the Devil more than it's a success. The guy accomplishes something, which is more than you can say for the designated heroes.
By the way, what's so terrible about a nerf pitchfork?
Something something, desensitizes to violence, something something, male power fantasy, something something, the patriarchy.

Damn. Boss man is PISSED.
Shit.

Probably Blue will give her a slap in the hand (or celebrate her "initiative") and cover the whole thing up.
