So yeah, anything about Final Fantasy! I guess this would make a good starting point: Which are your favorite games in the series and why?
My two all-time favorites are tied between Final Fantasy V and Final Fantasy IX. They're both very fun games that don't take themselves too seriously while still being legitimately emotional. On top of that, Zidane is my favorite Final Fantasy lead in the entire series. He's light-hearted, fun, and a generally nice guy to be around. FFV also has the advantage of having one of, if not the best, Job System in an FF game. Both FFV and FFIX make characters customizable while keeping them all unique in their own way. I'm also very fond of Final Fantasy I; it hasn't aged well, but it's classic, and like FFV, I played it tons as a kid.
I assume we'll drift around to various other FF-related discussions as the topic grows, right?

I guess they are finally showing that Garland did indeed once loved her, like some of the guides say even though in-game he just wanted power.
Even though the same guides also state that Sarah rejected him and that's why he turned evil, she seems to have the same feelings for him.

It is kinda interesting to see Terra is in permanent Esper form in this game and the fact that Maduin of all people is in this makes me think this is some sort of alternate timeline where she never left the Esper world. Which is a weird plot line to add to a seemingly saccharine racing spinoff

Whelp, they are already going down the Mario Kart route. Hope people don't anticipate their favorites getting in since they will instead need roster space for Pink Gold Aerith, Baby Galuf, Lightning Alt Number 13 and that one enemy you faced for ten seconds in that 5th dungeon in FFVI.

I can't believe we have a Final Fantasy kart game and not a Final Fantasy chocobo racing miniseries.
But I'm tickled that Mecha Chocobo is its own kart and not just a robot driving a car.

Bit of a swerve in topics here, but I gotta say, looking at the three PSX titles, VIII really stands out like a sore thumb.
While not bad necessarily (I still have to try it), the fact that it just so happens to be sandwiched between the groundbreaking masterpiece that is VII and the critically acclaimed classic throwback that is IX really does it no favors, to the point that it could be considered a Sophomore Slump.
I mean geez, how do you compare to two of arguably the most beloved titles in not just the series, but in the entire medium?
