It's one of the few older anime that I really want to check out.

Talk about a blast from the past. Aside from that, I don’t think I have any strong feelings for this anime. It’s generally enjoyable as a dumb-fun fantasy isekai romp, but the stories and characters are rather one-note.

One of the few series where I will strongly recommend the English Dub, at least for the first OAV.
Currently making my way through Wanderers but overall the first OAV is still firmly in top spot.

I've been personally familiar with El-Hazard as a whole since the Turn of the Millennium.

Hello! In light of El-Hazard: The Magnificent World approaching its 30th anniversary in 2025, I've started a discussion thread for the El-Hazard franchise, which was originally created by director Hiroki Hayashi and screenwriter Ryoe Tsukimura and produced by Pioneer LDC (now known as NBCUniversal Entertainment Japan) and AIC.
To kick things off, here are the opening themes to The Magnificent World OVAs, along with The Wanderers and The Alternative World.

Also, what are your overall thoughts on the franchise in general?
