EDIT: Worded this a bit harsher than I intended, so I've removed the original post. Essentially, though, I believe that tropes themselves can function as content warnings if you want them to, and if someone reads a work's page, sees the tropes in it, goes to check out that work, and then reads/watches/plays/whatevers it, that's on them, especially in the cases of fanfics where content warnings are properly applied.
